Role: Global Program Director 

Location: Madrid, Spain (Office presence expected at minimum 3 days per week)

 

About the role:

We are seeking an exceptional Global Program Director to join our Madrid office and lead strategic initiatives across two of our most prestigious client accounts, one in the beauty and one in the aviation business. This pivotal leadership role will oversee the implementation and management of processes for multi-site global teams, ensuring the smooth creation of outstanding creative work while maintaining operational excellence and profitability across both the beauty and travel sectors. 

What you will be doing:

Strategic Program Management 

  • Lead and execute global programs for our beauty and aviation clients, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget
  • Scope, plan and manage programs up to and over €500k, in collaboration with operations and business leads
  • Develop consultative relationships with key stakeholders across both client organizations globally
  • Establish frameworks and best practices for optimal program outcomes, tailored to the unique needs of beauty and travel industries 

Operational Excellence 

  • Establish and manage all processes for multi-site global teams across multiple regions
  • Create and maintain master program documentation, effectively monitoring progress and profitability
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure projects meet client expectations
  • Lead and manage project managers globally, setting precedent and standards for each region
  • Coordinate development and delivery activities among various project participants and stakeholders 

Client Relationship Management 

  • Serve as primary operations contact for global stakeholders at the beauty and aviation clients
  • Present project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and risk mitigation plans to clients
  • Manage the quality control process across all deliverables, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships that drive client satisfaction and business growth 

Team Leadership 

  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Lead with a strong, exemplary work ethic to ensure best practices are followed at all times
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Creative, Strategy, Marketing, and Technology
  • Support resource planning and capacity management across global teams 

Financial Management 

  • Oversee program budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Monitor and manage profitability of client engagements
  • Manage vendor relationships, costs, quality, and delivery timelines
  • Develop accurate cost estimates and manage change order processes 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of program/project management experience in an agency environment
  • Proven track record directing integrated projects for major global clients
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously across various platforms
  • Strong understanding of creative production processes and digital marketing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish would be a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Commercial acumen with experience in contract and financial management
  • Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams
  • Experience in client-facing roles with senior stakeholders 
  • Extra thumbs up if you have experience with beauty/cosmetics and/or travel/airline industries  / Knowledge of production, digital, and creative workflows  / Understanding of global marketing operations and follow-the-sun delivery models  / Background in implementing efficiency-driving processes and technologies / Experience with in-house agency models
