Role: Social and Content Lead (EMEA)

Location: Kingston upon Thames, England, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

 

About the role:

Working in partnership with our client, You'll be the strategic architect behind content that connects iconic brands with contemporary culture. Based in Kingston, UK with hybrid working arrangements (min. 2 days per week on-site), you'll oversee social strategy and execution for beloved Personal Care products across UK and European markets. Your strategic vision will transform brand messaging into cultural currency, ensuring our products don't just participate in conversations but help define them. 

You'll be the strategic orchestrator behind social-first approaches that elevate brand presence in the digital landscape. Working at the intersection of cultural relevance and commercial objectives, you'll translate consumer insights into compelling content strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. We're looking for someone who can identify golden opportunities within cultural movements, finding innovative ways to embed our brands authentically into the conversations that matter. Success means building a cohesive social ecosystem where creativity, cultural relevance and commercial results work in perfect harmony. 

What you will be doing:

  • Define and execute ambitious content strategies that position Personal Care brands at the heart of cultural conversations  
  • Lead and mentor a talented team of Social Media Managers, Content Creators, Influencer Managers 
  • Create frameworks and guidelines that ensure consistent quality across always-on content, influencer partnerships and reactive moments  
  • Spearhead the integration of GenAI technologies that enhance creative outputs while maintaining brand authenticity  
  • Collaborate with insights and analytics teams to continuously optimise performance and apply learnings  
  • Transform client briefs into innovative social approaches that deliver against both brand and commercial objectives  
  • Shape the evolution of our social offering as platforms and audience behaviours evolve  
  • Stay ahead of emerging cultural trends to maintain our brands' cultural relevance  
  • Deliver work that builds measurable brand love while driving commercial performance 
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A track record demonstrating 6-8 years of success in senior social media leadership, with strong experience across consumer brands or content-focused agencies  
  • Strategic thinking that connects cultural insights to measurable business outcomes  
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams while maintaining excellence in fast-paced environments  
  • Expertise in enterprise-grade social management platforms (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Meltwater or similar)  
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and emerging platforms  
  • A talent for translating complex strategic thinking into clear, compelling presentations  
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders with confidence and authority  
  • An eye for cultural movements before they become mainstream trends 
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
