Role: Senior CRM & Data Strategist

Location: London, England, United Kingdom ( 3 days a week from our London offices)

 

About the role:

As the only company to exclusively design, build and run in-house marketing agencies, OLIVER (part of the Inside Ideas Group) holds a unique position in the market. Oliver’s Data Strategy & Analytics team is one of the fastest-growing agency data teams in London, with the team doubling in size in the last year alone. To support this growth we’re looking for digital marketing & CRM specialist to join as a Senior CRM & Data Strategist, reporting into the Data Strategy Director. The role will be split between our head office at Rosebery Avenue & the clients' office, but will divide time between home and the office on a flexible basis. 

As a senior member of the data group you’ll provide strategic and consultative expertise on CRM and digital marketing to our clients and on-site teams across the group. You’ll be a well-rounded data practitioner with subject matter expertise in CRM and data driven marketing, digital marketing and eCommerce as well as exposure to a range of topics from measurement & optimisation, content, martech, client and program management. You will work as part of a mixed team of data strategists, channel practitioners & technical specialists, playing a key role in supporting Oliver’s offering in CRM & digital performance marketing, and drive the strategy of our clients and inside teams. 

The ideal candidate would be someone currently in a CRM & Data strategy role, and now ready to take a step up, into a more senior position.

What you will be doing:

  • Diagnosing client challenges & opportunities in digital & direct marketing and acting as a consultative partner to designing strategies & roadmaps to support future growth. 
  • Acting as a senior partner for our clients, using data insights, subject matter expertise, and business understanding to create connected customer experiences, advising in areas such as data collection, measurement, personalisation, segmentation, CRM, content marketing, test & learn.
  • Developing smart, pragmatic CRM strategies and journeys, alongside colleagues in CX, content and campaign management – leveraging your understanding of customer data, measurement & analytics, and marketing cloud technologies
  • Initially focussing on a global beverage brand, and working closely with commercial, marketing & eComm teams to optimise and scale CRM programs, and steer the team on website and digital marketing performance challenges & opportunities.  
  • Leading/supporting various stages of client relationships – from creating proposals for prospective clients, discovery and onboarding, developing strategies and overseeing implementation & activation
  • Acting as an ambassador for data strategy & data driven marketing across the group, sharing your experience and insights and promoting the work    
  • Supporting new business opportunities in collaboration with a mixed stakeholder group
  • Coaching and managing other team members
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issue

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A bright and savvy strategist with hands on experience across digital marketing and CRM, ideally in an eCommerce environment
  • Confident in developing strategies, programs & roadmaps in CRM & digital marketing, selling these in to senior stakeholders and tenacious in seeing them through to launch and optimisation
  • A confident thinker and communicator of your ideas, able to partner and influence manager to director level clients
  • Excellent communication / data storytelling skills, ability to distil complex ideas for non-technical audiences  
  • A natural collaborator able to quickly integrate, contribute and sometimes lead mixed stakeholder groups  
  • Proactive, dynamic individual able to work at pace, manage their workload and operate self sufficiently
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • At least 5 years extensive hands on experience and in-depth knowledge of digital marketing & CRM  
    • CRM: customer journey design, marketing cloud technologies (eg SalesForce Marketing Cloud) customer analytics, CRM program design
    • eCommerce focussed digital marketing: website performance, optimising online journeys, conversion rate optimisation, assessing digital content vs audience need states
    • Data driven marketing: data informed media activation, retargeting, audience building & lookalikes, CDP powered media, data enrichment, data partnerships   
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
