Account Director (12-Month FTC)

Role: Account Director

About the role:
The Account Director will join our dynamic team, taking a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our client services teams. Reporting directly to the Group Account Director, and oversee a team of 12, you will be primarily responsible for running the efficient operation of your Clients accounts with a focus on strong team and line management. The role will be critical in ensuring high standards of client service while driving the strategic and creative success of national campaigns and large head office projects.
What you will be doing:
- Client Service:
- Work in true collaboration with the Client and be responsible for Brand Guardianship on their projects to ensure that the client experience is as positive as possible.
- Escalation point if the client or internal SLA's and processes are not adhered to, or where there are process gaps. Ensure that these are captured along with a suggestion for improvement, and work with the Group Account Director and relevant department lead to rectify this.
- Project Management:
- Own the execution of projects, run rates and client satisfaction through catchups with job owners and the weekly account/project management WIP.
- Lead and coordinate national campaigns and large head office projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
- Financial & Accounts:
- Take overall financial control of accounts, including profitability, accuracy of forecasting, invoicing, budgeting and providing regular and timely reports to the Group Account Director.
- Accountable for the delivery of growth targets for the account.
- Financial responsibility of up to £1,500,000
- Team and Line Management: Manage and mentor a team of 5+ direct reports, and overall team of 12, to ensure effective collaboration and development, including setting clear performance benchmarks.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and insights on account performance and team utilisation to senior management.
- Internal Process Management: Enhance and monitor internal workflows to achieve efficiencies and greater economies of scale.
- Identify new business opportunities through relationships, introducing IIG’s capabilities where appropriate.
- You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues
What you need to be great in this role:

- Client Service Excellence: Excellent client engagement skills, with ability to proactively organise and influence clients, act as a trusted advisor and deliver solutions to meet strategic objectives.
- Financial Acumen: A proven track record of applying financial insights to manage account budgets effectively and identify growth opportunities.
- Operational Efficiency: Consistently improves internal processes, driving resource optimisation and effectiveness across projects.
- Strategic Impact: Successfully manages large-scale national campaigns, contributing to the broader strategic goals of the organisation. Exhibits excellent account leadership skills with developed creative judgment, strategic thinking and talent management
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Possesses first-rate communication skills, being articulate in person and in writing. Exhibits strong presentation skills with an innate ability to build rapport.
- Creativity and Innovation: Highly creative with the ability to generate ideas and practically contribute to studio output.
- Essential Requirements:
- Experience in managing a team of 6+ direct reports
- Can demonstrate excellent client service and stakeholder management experience – internal and external
- Experience in developing, and delivering, effective strategic marketing for multiple clients. Residential development experience beneficial but not necessary.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in:
- Digital
- Motion Graphics
- Web Design
- UX-UI
- Artwork
- Production
