Role: Associate Project Director (Maternity Leave Cover) - 5-month FTC

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands (hybrid - min 2 days per week in the office)

About the role: 

A senior market-focused delivery role responsible for managing and executing complex, high-value projects within their assigned market. The role ensures exceptional project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and financial performance at a market level. 

This role requires a combination of hands-on project management expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive results while maintaining exceptional quality standards within their market.

What you will be doing: 

  • Project Leadership & Delivery:
    • Lead and manage high-value, business-critical projects / Programmes 
    • Ensure accurate financial reporting in conjunction with Operations Manager
    • Support resource planning and trafficking within local studio
    • Manage project delivery within agreed timings and budgets
    • Engagement with local market teams across NA, LATAM, SEA, EU
    • Lead strategic planning and creative development with internal teams.
    • Working with brand agency network
    • Serve as primary client contact and manage day-to-day communications.
    • Proactively address challenges and ensure stakeholder transparency.
    • Leading global cascades with local markets (translating best practice process & ways of working into BAU in local markets)
    • Spot opportunities with local markets to integrate and grow
    • Evaluate program effectiveness and identify optimisation opportunities by tracking and reporting on efficiencies (MI dashboard) across agreed key 
      metrics
  • Financial & Operational Management:
    • Lead weekly reporting to Market Lead
    • Ensure accuracy of market-level financial reporting
    • Monitor and control project budgets
    • Maintain project tracking systems
    • Support resource optimization across market projects
    • Collaborate with Operations
    • Manager on studio efficiency
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Manage relationships with high-value client stakeholders
    • Interface with all internal departments (Finance, Commercial, Creative, Strategy)
    • Coordinate with external suppliers
    • Work closely with Operations Manager for studio visibility
    • Support cross-functional team collaboration
  • Team Leadership:
    • Provide direction and leadership to project delivery teams
    • Manage and develop direct reports
    • Ensure effective communication of group/global initiatives to team
    • Drive team performance and quality standards
    • Support implementation of new ways of working
  • Quality & Performance:
    • Accountable for project quality in partnership with creative leaders
    • Own issue resolution and escalations for market projects
    • Ensure adherence to global and group processes
    • Support proposal and pitch development as required
    • Contribute to process improvement initiatives at market level
