Role:  Mid-weight Designer

About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Designer with experience in digital/motion design within the health, beauty and wellness sector. This role is primarily focused on creating and concepting ideas for digital channels (ie: social and in-store digital screens). You will craft impactful communications, innovate with smart ideas, and further develop best practices in digital design. You will work closely with clients to fulfil their digital marketing requirements with exceptional creative solutions. You are independent and driven, with a keen eye for detail and a collaborative spirit. You should be adept at overseeing projects from conception to completion, consistently delivering creative solutions. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Develop and execute creative concepts / storyboards (primarily digital) in collaboration with project teams to meet the objectives of the brief. 
  • Demonstrate a strong design sensibility and generate innovative motion graphics and digital content. 
  • Be a thought leader in best-in-class beauty and healthcare category trends in digital design and techniques. 
  • Illustrate concepts with effective digital layouts, incorporating animation and interactive elements where appropriate. 
  • Transform marketing ideas into high-quality motion and digital visuals. 
  • Regularly propose speculative ideas and challenge creative briefs when necessary. 
  • Self-edit and refine concepts before presenting in internal reviews. 
  • Support projects through all stages, with a focus on digital and motion design production. 
  • Engage with creative leadership and team members as needed to ensure successful project completion. 
  • Respond to feedback constructively to enhance personal skills and project outcomes. 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking digital environment. 
  • Address any digital design emergencies across our network with precision and speed. 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Provide technical and production support for digital screen content, ensuring delivery of polished and ready-to-launch assets. 
  • Strong organization, project management, and time-management skills in managing digital design initiatives. 
  • Effectively present and articulate the rationale behind motion and digital creative work. 
  • Be a specialist within the health, wellness, and beauty sectors and the Boots brand.
