Role: Senior Account Director

Location: London, England (3 days a week from our London Offices)

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an opportunity to join OLIVER's award-winning network as a Senior Account Director, delivering exceptional client partnerships for some of the biggest financial services brands in the world.

You'll lead strategic account management that drives both creative excellence and commercial growth for leading financial services brands. You'll be accountable for brand guardianship, financial performance, and project delivery across complex, multi-channel programmes. Your client relationship expertise and commercial acumen will ensure seamless collaboration while identifying opportunities for sustainable account growth.

THE ROLE

You'll be the strategic partner behind transformative campaigns for global financial services brands. Working at the intersection of creative delivery and commercial strategy, you'll translate client objectives into compelling brand experiences that drive measurable business outcomes. We're looking for someone who can balance creative ambition with financial discipline, finding collaborative solutions that deliver both exceptional work and sustained profitability. Success means achieving growth targets, maintaining high client satisfaction, and leading teams that consistently exceed expectations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead brand guardianship for major financial services clients, ensuring positive client experiences across all project touchpoints
  • Take financial control of accounts including profitability management, forecasting accuracy, payment tracking, and fee negotiation
  • Execute project delivery through effective coordination with job owners and regular account management reporting
  • Drive achievement of growth targets through strategic account development and expansion opportunities
  • Act as escalation point for client and internal SLA adherence, identifying process gaps and collaborating on improvements
  • Negotiate collaborative solutions between client needs and team capabilities, creating win-win outcomes
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through relationship building and strategic capability introductions
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across client organisations, fostering trust and strategic influence
  • Manage and develop team members through coaching, mentorship, and professional growth planning
  • Champion sustainable practices within client work and participate in relevant training and development
  • Present strategic recommendations and performance reports with clarity and commercial insight
  • Integrate seamlessly with client-side teams while maintaining agency service excellence standards

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proven experience delivering growth across new and existing business opportunities within advertising agency environments
  • A track record demonstrating excellent client engagement skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders and build strategic relationships in financial services or similarly complex industries
  • Account leadership expertise combining financial acumen, strategic thinking, and creative judgment to drive commercial growth
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with natural ability to build rapport and articulate complex ideas
  • The ability to integrate with client-side teams while maintaining high-quality agency service delivery
  • Experience managing and developing team members through effective coaching and professional development
  • Understanding of integrated marketing services and how to leverage capabilities for account advantage
  • Creative thinking that generates practical ideas and contributes meaningfully to creative output
  • Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • An analytical mindset that connects financial performance to strategic outcomes
  • Commitment to environmental responsibility, social equity, and sustainable business practices
  • Qualifications: Formal degrees are welcome but not required. Equivalent experience counts. Experience can be gained through work, study, volunteering, or self-directed learning.
