Role: Marketing CRM & Automation Executive

Location: Bournemouth, United Kingdom

About the role:

You'll help deliver client's digital CRM communications strategy, working with the Marketing CRM & Automation Manager and alongside the Senior CRM & Automation Executive. You'll work independently on journey builds, QA, monitoring and testing, and escalate to the Manager where decisions affect strategy or priorities. You'll use behavioural insight and test-and-learn plans to improve live campaigns. You'll also use AI and automation to increase content volume and improve quality. You'll work closely with colleagues across media, brand, content and creative so that journeys feel cohesive across channels.

What you will be doing:

  • Build, test and activate automated, trigger-based journeys in MS Dynamics, in line with the CRM and automation strategy.
  • Build audience segments for new journeys and document the rules of engagement, entry criteria and exit criteria.
  • Run QA and testing for new journeys before go-live, and report results to the Marketing CRM & Automation Manager.
  • Monitor live journeys to confirm they perform as intended, and update them early to prevent bugs and inconsistencies.
  • Plan and run A/B tests and wider test-and-learn programmes to improve key content and touchpoints. Work with the Brand and Content Manager to shape the A/B testing approach.
  • Track CRM performance, identify opportunities and put recommendations into action to improve conversion and engagement.
  • Use test results and data insight to refine live campaigns and inform future strategy.
  • Help build and maintain a backlog of customer journeys, with planning documentation and requirements clearly recorded.
  • Support the Senior CRM & Automation Executive on MS Dynamics enhancements, working with IT and developers to configure, test and update the platform.
  • Support change programmes that embed new MS Dynamics processes, including training sessions and best-practice knowledge sharing for new users.
  • Align regularly with colleagues across media, brand, communications, content and creative to keep omnichannel journeys consistent.
  • Keep up to date with developments in marketing automation and AI, and recommend improvements to the MS Dynamics set-up and customer journeys.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Proficiency in MS Dynamics or a comparable marketing automation platform.
  • Proven ability to build customer journey workflows and improve email flows and automations.
  • Experience delivering A/B testing and test-and-learn plans.
  • Experience delivering digital CRM campaigns across email and SMS, including lead nurturing, personalisation and journey analytics.
  • Solid knowledge of email optimisation practices that improve conversion.
  • Experience supporting technical projects and working with IT or developer teams on new platform developments.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and data privacy requirements.
  • Clear communication, with the ability to explain results and recommendations to marketing colleagues.
  • Proficiency with Gen AI tools relevant to CRM and content, to improve output quality and efficiency.
  • Experience building personal AI workflows that improve speed and quality.
  • An agentic approach to campaign development and problem-solving: breaking complex challenges into clear steps and choosing the best route forward.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs and apply human judgement.
