JOB DESCRIPTION FOR ASSET LIBRARIAN
Role: Asset Librarian
Job Level: Mid (3-5 years' experience)
Location: Mumbai/Hybrid
Time Zone Required: BST

A Little Bit About the Role:
Creating visually stunning, impactful, and effective creative work is essential in a highly competitive and saturated marketplace. We want to develop industry-leading, world-class, beautiful, smart, and effective work.
You will be managing the client DAM (Brandfolder) which houses multiple areas holding different types of content (raw images, video footage), final deliverable outputs (print, motion, HTML ads), and branding materials (fonts, guidelines, logos, etc) that need to be monitored and maintained to ensure it can be used easily by client.
You will be managing all the tagging briefed by the client, the naming of files, and ensuring folder structures are clear
You'll need to communicate directly with clients gather briefs and work on refining the existing DAM, which involves removing content that follows outdated guidelines. You will also work closely with the Oliver Studio team to upload, tag, and rename the studio's final files.
Taking personal responsibility for time management and the completion of timesheets are all important requirements.
What You'll be Doing:
- DAM (Brandfolder) Continuous Improvement
- Continually assess & improve best practice approach to asset storage and sharing based on the client's global footprint and associated nuances, asset types, and usage.
- Ensure naming conventions/guidelines are followed & assessed for relevance in a fast-moving environment.
- Liaise with the internal technology team to drive meta-data tagging rules & processes.
- Tag content being uploaded by the creative agency following the client tagging brief
- Review current assets in Brandfolder and clear out what is no longer relevant and not within new guidelines.
- Keyword tagging based on what they see in the image or footage
- Uploading the content
Communication
- Capture and document general best practices for sharing.
- Provide initial in-market training on DAM ways of working.
- Manage communication and expectations with stakeholders.
- Develop, Own, and distribute Monthly Asset highlights (Usage, re-usage & engaging content, download volumes as well as report on who is downloading)
- Master Data Management
- Define metadata structure and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain taxonomy.
- Upload appropriate assets and metadata content to the DAM library within the agreed SLA timeframe.
- Maintain a log of asset uploads.
- Reporting
- Establish a suite of dashboards to monitor and report.
- Data quality
- Asset adoption: mega, major, minor, and adapts.
- Report key insights from data to feed into user communication and asset knowledge management.
- User assistance
- Establish a suite of dashboards to monitor and report.
- Responsible for locating assets across DAM - including cataloging and completing keyword meta-data for all new & existing images and other assets.
- Provide information to support internal requests for image availability and usage rights limitations, and monitor expiry dates. Upload and store content usage rights/purchases.
- Asset rights management
- Check visuals for usage restrictions, source, and supply costs for any usage extensions.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate metadata is assigned to assets, particularly around usage rights and asset expiry.
What You'll Need:
- Over 3 years of experience in enterprise-level digital asset management platform utilization.
- Extensive understanding of DAM, metadata, and taxonomy principles.
- Effective collaborator within a globally dispersed team spanning various locations and time zones.
- Proficient interpersonal abilities, a constructive demeanor, and adeptness in a collaborative agency with multidisciplinary groups.
- Strong communication skills, encompassing verbal and written, capable of comprehending and interpreting requirements.
- Inquisitive and resourceful, comfortable with acquiring new knowledge via exploration, self-education, and team collaboration.
