Senior Digital Designer (Retoucher)

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAM:
Working onsite, the Retoucher leads all image manipulations and colour management for our team, to assist in the creation of powerful and impactful imagery.
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
- Responsible for manipulating digital images to produce high-quality project
- The ability to be a creative, imaginative artist to help produce photo realistic compositions with expert knowledge in photo colour correction
- Responsible for maintaining high quality while executing high volume of images under very tight deadlines
- To be an assistant to the creative team in areas such as layout, design and image composition
- The ability to interpret creative direction from Art Directors and Photographers and apply to final product
- The ability to identify and develop systems to support efficiency
- Openly communicate with other teams in order to proactively address discrepancies and solve issues
- Be an expert at retouching and colour adjustment
- Be an expert at retouching and colour adjustment and execute client's comments and direction
- Managing multi layered PSD's containing multiple Layer sets and file management.
- Produce colour accurate proofs for client approval
- Good knowledge of Capture One 10 or above and colour correction techniques
- Ensure all quality control checks are carried out such as clipping paths, sizes and formats prior to upload
- To ensure that all images produced and proofed are correct and reviewed in accordance to the guidelines.
- Work alongside the Project Management and Production team to ensure successful delivery of projects on time
WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE:
- Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships.
- Expert working knowledge of Photoshop, Layers/Sets, masks, paths, colour correction tools, actions, batch processing.
- A strong sense of colour theory and design
- An understanding of artwork/mechanical replacement on packaging of products
- Expert working knowledge of InDesign
- The ability to work independently and with a team
- Comfortable working under pressure within tight deadlines
- Strong creative vision, communication skills and problem-solving abilities
- Must have 4+ years' experience in Digital / Print / Artwork and Production
