Job Title: Head of Delivery - APAC

Location: Philippines (Remote)

 

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE: 

The rapid expansion of Oliver and its subsidiaries has led to several new demands on its delivery capabilities. 

As OLIVER continues to expand its footprint in the Asia Pacific region it is vital that we improve and expand our delivery capabilities. Over the last two years, the average size and complexity of our engagements has significantly increased.

Coupled with this, we continue to evolve from a predominantly retained model to engagements with more complicated commercial arrangements including ad hoc project work, high volume asset development, follow the sun production and even pay for performance.

As our highly successful model of building bespoke solutions for each client evolves, it is vital that we keep up with this demand while continuously improving our Project Margin, Gross Profit (GP) and Account Health Scores. In parallel, we need to reduce the silos that emerge and align ways of working between accounts and enable mobility of both our staff and the work between studios for improved load balancing and minimizing wasteful reinvention.

A focused effort and an evolution of the region’s underlying Delivery and embedded client operations capabilities is required. This requires the creation of a new leadership role to chart a course through these challenges and drive this effort forward.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Topline, the Delivery Director is responsible for the timely and accurate estimation and costing of the effort, technology and materials involved in meeting client requirements and then overseeing the delivery of that work according to the contractual timelines, budgets, and quality specifications for OLIVER across the region.

Specific Accountabilities & Goals:

  • Continually identify and develop initiatives that minimize erosion between our Sold At vs Delivered At Project Margin
  • Increase Delivery agility to accommodate new situations and evolving solutions
  • Introduce new methods, structures, and best practices to continually evolve our Delivery practice
  • Create and manage documentation effectively monitoring progress and profitability, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on brief, on time and within budget
  • Lead the implementation of global program & technology rollouts in a regionally tailored fashion, working closely with Global Program Directors, Delivery Leads and other support teams
  • Monitor billable utilization targets across all disciplines and ensure resources are sufficiently billable
  • Load balance accounts and ensure internal capacity is maximised
  • Help keep our margin-dilutive freelance spend to a minimum
  • Own the Account Review, Account Health Assessment and Client Satisfaction Survey processes regionally
  • Partner with account leads to build, implement, and monitor corrective action plans for underperforming accounts & distressed business units
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the project lifecycle management in our proprietary infrastructure (OMG)
  • Mentoring other mid-level Delivery staff within the region and oversee their career development
  • Take responsibility for overall excellence in our Delivery practice across the region, understanding and then undertaking the appropriate communication, action and personal presentation as required by the business culture across the region.


Role Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 15 years in a delivery capacity:
    a. 10+ years in marketing services.
    b. 10+ years interfacing directly with clients.
    c. 5+ years working in a regional or global capacity.
    d. 5+ years managing through structural and/or significant process changes.

  • Highly proficient in client commercial management.
  • A demonstrated history of being both process-driven and result-focused.
  • Curious and interested in technology and thinks first about how technology can be at the heart of client solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a Global set-up across regions, cultures & time-zones.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence stakeholders and build strong and effective working relationships.
  • Proficient in Adobe CC, Microsoft Office and other related software.
