Role: Product Marketing Manager

Location: Gurgaon, India

 

About the role:

Google products are used by billions of users everyday. As a Product Marketing Manager in Google’s consumer marketing team, you will be working towards driving user growth of Google Search in India. As part of the team,  you will work on priority marketing projects, work closely with the team on projects forming future plans, ensuring business success, project management of key GTM workstreams, business analysis to work on opportunities.

Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

 

What you will be doing:  

  • Proven track record developing marketing plans through actionable insights and recommendations. Experience in brand or product branding, messaging, positioning, and targeting.
  • Experience working with many strategic partners and driving impact both via influence (w/o direct authority) and via joint agreements.
  • Ability to influence all levels and work effectively across functions, geographies, and corporate cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with writing consumer-facing copy.
  • Proven track record of exceptional performance and high productivity; ability to prioritise for business impact among competing needs.
  • Experience managing external creative agencies to timeline and budget.
  • Experience working on consumer research including creative testing, market research
  • Important for the applicant to have strong analytical and data driven insight skills. You'll put your skills regularly into analysing the business and marketing initiatives, and building strategic end to end thinking
  • Strong project Management skills

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in brand or product branding
  • Experience in building out presentation, data visualisations  
  • Experience in working with data to cull out insights, working with data to track performance of market and marketing initiatives.
