Role: Director of Business Development - India
Location: India (Remote)
About the role:
OLIVER Agency requires an India-based Director of Business Development. This is a fast-paced but extremely rewarding role that will allow self-development as well as growth of the overall business. You will be responsible for generating leads, managing, coordinating and deploying effective RFIs and RFPs and presentation development processes and will be measured against conversion of business.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for the entire sales cycle from prospect identification to contract implementation
- Selling local in-house content, creative and digital agencies that include a range of services including online and offline end to end creative and design, social and community management media, digital, copywriting, videography, data & analytics etc.
- Creating and designing bespoke agency solutions for clients
- Developing structured sales strategies, sales plans, and profit targets
- Deliver individual and team targets – annual revenue and gross profit targets
- Managing and nurturing the local sales team
- Maximising new business development opportunities
- Creating, enforcing, and publishing new business project plans, RACI’s and timelines when responding to RFIs, RFPs and presentations to prospective clients
- Managing the production of RFPs & presentation process from kick-off to submission, including scheduling team meetings, check-ins, follow-ups
- Gathering appropriate content for proposal use and helping to maintain repository of RFP responses and reusable content
- Working directly with strategy, marketing, finance, legal, and creative teams to deliver new business opportunities
- Come with an established network of Marketing & Procurement connections in medium to large size businesses
- Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
- Compiling and analysing sales figures
- Keeping up to date with products and competitors
- Representing the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events
- Negotiating the sale up until closure and handover to implementation
- Conducting wash ups for every pitch and sharing learnings
What you need to be great in this role:
- 8-10 years of experience in a sales role, preferably with advertising experience / knowledge
- Experience working in digital marketing, media or ad-tech industries
- Proven track record of sales achievements within the advertising industry
- Experienced with management of sales teams and targets
- Versatility to manage different stakeholders and industries
- Experience with RFPs and their general sales cycle preferable
- Fantastic presentation, networking and relationship building abilities
- Commercially astute – apt at building commercial solutions and forecasting profitability
- Able to priorities leads and maximize revenue via sales pipeline control
- Face to face and telephone sales experience including negotiation and pitching
- Proficient with Salesforce and Microsoft Office
- Strategic, consultative and solution-based sales approach
- Excellent document creation / sales deck capabilities
- Independent and proactive with strong project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a time pressured environment, and thrives on overcoming challenges
