Role: Social Media Content Designer (TikTok)
Location: Bangkok,Thailand
About the role:
A Social Media Content Creator for is responsible for developing engaging and creative content to build and maintain client's presence on TikTok.
Successful candidates MUST HAVE a strong background in creativity, video editing for SM content and TikTok.
What you will be doing:
- Original Content Development:
- Idea Generation: Regularly brainstorm new concepts that resonate with the target audience. Consider seasonal themes, audience interests, and emerging topics. 20 pieces of content will need to be created and posted per month, however the complexity of all these posts will vary from quick executions (using existing video content), to complex videos which the successful candidate will have ideated, shot and edited themselves.
- Scripting and Storyboarding: Draft scripts or outlines for videos to ensure clarity and coherence. Plan shots and sequences to streamline the shooting process.
- Filming: Use smartphones or cameras to capture raw footage. Focus on lighting, framing, and composition to enhance visual appeal.
- Editing: Utilize TikTok’s in-app editing tools or third-party apps to cut, trim, and arrange clips. Add effects, text overlays, and transitions to make content engaging.
- Adaptation of Existing Content:
- Repurposing Content: Adapt existing toolkit content from other platforms ( Instagram or Facebook) to suit TikTok’s format and style, making sure it feels native to the platform for the client.
- Content Recycling: Refresh or remix older content to make it relevant for new audiences or current trends.
- Localization:
- Cultural Relevance: Modify content to align with Thai cultural nuances and audiences on TikTok.
- Language Adaptation: Translate or adjust language in captions, text overlays, or dialogues to cater to client audiences.
- Trend Analysis:
- Monitoring: Follow popular TikTok accounts, hashtags, and the “Discover” page to identify emerging trends.
- Adaptation: Adapt trends creatively to fit the brand’s message while keeping up with what’s current on the platform.
- Timing: Quickly jump on trends at their peak to maximize reach and engagement.
- Audience Engagement:
- Communication: Actively respond to comments and messages in a timely manner, fostering a sense of community.
- Encouragement: Pose questions, create polls, or invite followers to engage in content to boost interaction.
- Feedback Loop: Use follower feedback to improve content and meet audience expectations.
- Brand Representation:
- Consistency: Maintain uniformity in colours, logos, and music that align with brand, campaign and toolkit identity.
- Voice: Employ a consistent tone of voice that reflects existing clients TOV guidelines.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Data Analysis: analyise performance reports from clients social media agency and understand key metrics, such as views, likes, shares, comments, and follower growth. Use this data to measure success and inform future content strategies.
- Reporting: Compile regular reports to track creative trends and insiughts and recommendations with the wider marketing team and clients Thailand stakeholders.
- Collaboration:
- Networking: Build relationships with other creators, influencers, and brands for potential collaborations.
- Influencer Partnerships: Identify and collaborate with TikTok influencers to expand reach and credibility.
- Co-Creation: Engage in co-creation projects that leverage the creativity of multiple parties, resulting in unique and diverse content.
- Content Strategy Planning:
- Calendar Management: Develop a content calendar that aligns with marketing goals and promotions, allowing for strategic content distribution. Posting of content will not be necessary, however delivering content to exiting social media agency in a timely manner
- Content Mix: Balance different types of content such as behind-the-scenes, KOL and user-generated content to keep the feed versatile and engaging.
- Monitoring Trends & Trend-Jacking: Keep a close eye on trending topics, sounds, and challenges on TikTok. Understand how these can be adapted to fit the brand narrative.
- Timing Execution: Act quickly to participate in trends while they are still popular to gain maximum engagement.
- Creative Innovation:
- Experimentation: Test new video formats, such as stop-motion or time-lapse, and incorporate new TikTok tools and effects regularly.
- Feedback Incorporation: Use creative feedback from clients' team members / peers or audience to refine concepts and approaches.
- Platform Optimization:
- SEO Best Practices: Use relevant and trending hashtags strategically. Craft compelling captions that include keywords for better discoverability.
- Algorithm Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of how TikTok’s algorithm promotes content and tailor posts to align with these factors.
- TikTok Research and Learning:
- Continuous Education: Attend TikTok webinars, workshops, and online courses to enhance skills and stay informed.
- Algorithm Updates: Keep abreast of changes to TikTok’s features or algorithms that may affect content performance.
What you need to be great in this role:
- 3+ years writing in an advertising environment
- Bilingual – Fluent in both Thai and English
- Proven experience creating content for TikTok and / or other social media platforms.
- Strong storytelling ability and excellent video editing skills.
- Creative mindset with a keen understanding of TikTok's culture and trends.
- Ability to analyse data and apply insights to improve content strategy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong grasp of English will be important for understanding global toolkits (which are published in English)
- Dedicated to client at a minimum 160 hours per month
- Working onsite at least 3 days per week
- Role will report into existing OLIVER Social Media Manager, who is also based onsite within client's Thailand offices.
- A highly creative person with the ability to take and positively influence client briefs with your own innovative ideas
- Confident in bringing your own ideas and creativity to projects whilst working within a broad range of brand guidelines across a variety of artwork collateral
- Strong client liaison, with a proven track record of developing strong client relationships and a consistent record of taking, interpreting and delivering design projects within agreed timeframes
- Ability to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
