Location: Mumbai, India
About the role:
India's internet user base is vast & expected to exceed 900 million by 2025, with growth primarily fueled by younger users and Indic language content users. The massive user base, increasing demand for digital services, & high trust for Google presents a big opportunity for search in India. At the same time, our relevance and success in India is not guaranteed - users have many options and platforms with deeper engagement, established mental models, low effort and ‘good enough’ trust.
India's Search usage has grown but there is still a massive opportunity to grow at 2X-3X speed. With growing competition, business opportunities, and evolving consumer needs - the battle for preference is real. As the Google Search Marketing team for India, we drive growth via user facing campaigns. Here are past campaigns that we have done in the past. (Dhoondenge Toh Milega, Googlies)
What you will be doing:
As part of this challenge, we’re looking for a tenured marketing analyst who can contribute in following ways:
- Own and drive monthly metrics updates for Search and related products eg: Lens. for the larger India marketing team
- Lead measurement post marquee Search campaigns basis internal processes eg: independently run and report on marketing campaign data via match market test methodology.
- Drive Research for understanding user needs, as and when required with external vendors and research agencies
- Lead product testing and audits and help identify hero use cases during key launches (such as AI Overviews launch in India) and large scale marketing campaigns
- Identify actionable insights from data and help the team inform overall marketing strategy.
What you need to be great in this role:
- Strong experience working on large scale tech products, exposure to large scale consumer apps is a must
- Problem solving capability and analytical mindset.
- Expertise in working with data, high comfort with SQL/R.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
- Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical.
