Job Title: Video Content Strategist 

Role: Freelancer

Duration: 4 months

Location: Singapore 

 

About the role: 

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Video Content Strategist to lead our production team in adapting / localising compelling video content that drives awareness, engagement, and sales.  
 
As the senior member of the team, you will work closely with an Art Director/Designer and a Motion Graphics Editor. You will be responsible for ensuring all video content aligns with strategic briefs, leveraging AI for insights, understanding market-specific nuances, and creating effective content strategies.  
 
You will also oversee the review of localized content and act as a liaison with the production team to enhance future projects. 

 

What you will be doing:

  1. Content Efficacy and Alignment:
  • Ensure all adapted / localised video content answers strategic briefs efficiently while meeting the company’s objectives for driving awareness, engagement, and sales. 
  • Guide the creative process, providing clear leadership and vision to the team. 
  1. AI Utilization:
  • Leverage AI to source creative and strategic insights to inform content strategy.
  • Run AI-driven focus groups through persona or cohort creation to gather targeted insights. 
  1. Market Research and Understanding:
  • Conduct in-depth research to understand product nuances, visual preferences, and unique selling propositions (USPs) within each target market.
  • Stay updated with market trends to ensure content remains relevant and impactful. 
  1. Data-Driven Strategy Formulation: 
  • Develop and execute content strategies based on data secured from clients and internal research.
  • Analyse video performance data to refine and adjust strategies for greater effectiveness. 
  1. Content Review and Localization:
  • Oversee the translation and localization of video content, ensuring it aligns with the  
    original strategy and the specific needs of each market. 
  • Ensure all content maintains a high standard of quality and adheres to brand guidelines. 
  1. Team Collaboration and Learning:
  • Liaise with the production team to share insights and learnings from video projects  
    to enhance team performance and project outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where creativity and innovation can flourish. 

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Proven experience in video content strategy, ideally within a similar industry. 
  • Strong understanding of content marketing principles and video production processes. 
  • Experience with AI tools and techniques in marketing and content strategy. 
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. 
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics. 
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead a creative team effectively. 
  • Experience in APAC markets and multilingual content strategies. 
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and design principles. 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating successful video campaigns that drove awareness, engagement, and sales. 
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
