Job Title: Senior Producer (Videographer / Photographer) 

Role: Freelancer 

Duration: 10 months

Location:  Mumbai, India 

About the role: 

Are you looking for an opportunity to innovate with brands? Involving the development of strategy, creative concepts, content and campaign implementation? 

This role will be underpinned by passion and ambition, and those with experience in leading digital content and social campaigns within a creative agency will have an advantage. 

They oversee the costing, pre-production, production, and post-production for both still and moving image shoot production jobs, under the guidance of the Creative Director & Account Director, ensuring the job is delivered on time and on budget, whilst also ensuring agency and client requirements are met. 

They will work with the client and internal teams to schedule projects and resources and will help source the right production partners to fulfill projects to the highest standards. 

They will have a good understanding of Design, Video, Digital and Film disciplines and work hand in hand with these depts. They will create timing plans/budgets within our own systems, assume responsibility for the review/approval process of the creative output and ensure the projects they own run on time and on budget 

 

What you will be doing:  

  • Maintaining a holistic and hands-on approach to production management – setting, maintaining, and communicating all milestones from content strategy and calendarization to production planning, creative development, and execution, identifying roadblocks and proactively managing expectations with client stakeholders. 
  • Deeply rooted in the creative process, able to anticipate when trade-offs should be made, able to clearly communicate goals and risks to project partners and the team. 
  • Establish and coordinate executional teams, planning requirements, and coordinating and completing projects on time, within budget and scope, with multiple partners. 
  • Opens jobs, produce estimates, and PO’s while overseeing billing and reconciliation 
  • Provide performance reporting  
  • Ensures projects are delivered in scope for assigned brands 
  • Comfortable with scope-based projects, and discussing/backing them into budgets with client 

 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Successful candidates will possess a passion for creating content that engages social communities, in service of the brand’s objectives for their social audiences. 
  • Self-directed, hands-on implementer – an excellent teammate who brings creative problem-solving, organization, and process best practices to every project. 
  • Effectively partners cross-functionally with all levels of management, building trust and rapport to support business growth strategies and marketing initiatives on a diverse range of creative projects. 
  • Invested in the vision of the project, just as much as the planning and process management. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience 
  • 4–6 years of creative production experience for an Agency and/or internal Brand Marketing team 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, global environment, energized by new challenges 
  • Extensive experience with photography, videography, and animation/illustration/motion graphics deliverables 
  • Experience with live-action video and editing 
  • Outstanding organization, communication, and presentation skills 
  • Experience managing external production vendors 
  • Basic understanding and genuine interest in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, showcasing a curiosity for exploring its applications and potential impact. 
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies  
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical 
  • Lead end-to-end shoot planning: produce shot lists, schedules, call sheets and technical specs and ensure flawless execution on the day. 
  • Act as on-set lead, building and maintaining detailed day-by-day shoot schedules, coordinating pre-production meetings between the agency and clients. 
  • Plan and allocate production resources (crew, kit, studio time) to maximise utilisation and control overtime costs. 
  • Act as the production lead on set, making real-time decisions to keep shoots on schedule and within scope, escalating to Creative/Account Directors when trade-offs are required. 
  • Manage talent logistics and compliance (rates, release forms, wardrobe, schedules) and ensure adherence to union or location-specific rules when relevant. 
  • Issue, review and approve POs and supplier invoices in line with agency finance policies; maintain cost transparency with clients and internal stakeholders. 
  • Manage review and approval cycles (internal and client), ensuring timely sign-off and change request documentation. 
  • Oversee final asset QC for technical specs and creative standards before distribution. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (creative, design, motion, account) and external partners; run stakeholder planning sessions and status updates. 
  • Mentor and manage junior production staff and freelancers; build crew lists and maintain preferred vendor relationships. 
  • Demonstrable experience producing complex shoots (multi-day, multi-location or multi-camera). 
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
