Spanish-Catalan Editor | Technology Company
For our client, an iconic tech company known for its innovative products and design, we are looking for a skilled Spanish-Catalan Editor to join our team at OLIVER. As part of our network of freelancers, you will ensure the highest quality of localized marketing copy across various platforms and channels while maintaining the brand’s established tone of voice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Localizing, editing, and proofreading marketing communications, including web content, in-store materials, direct mail, print, and other materials.
- Validating localized marketing copy for your market.
- Ensuring consistency with approved translations (translation memory and glossaries).
- Adhering to grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules.
- Applying brand writing guidelines effectively.
Key Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in editing/proofreading/translation, either Agency or Client side.
- Proven experience working with translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance (LQA) projects.
- Native Catalan speaker.
- Strong awareness of cultural and linguistic nuances specific to your market.
- Proven experience in editing, proofreading, or localization, ideally in marketing or advertising.
- Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in Italian.
- Ability to adapt and refine content to align with brand tone and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Nice to have - competency with Mac programs
What to Expect During the Selection Process
As part of the recruitment process, all applicants will be asked to sign an NDA before moving forward. After that, selected applicants will be invited to complete an unpaid testing task. If the feedback is positive, the next step may be a short interview with the client’s Team Lead for their market.
