Role: Senior Designer

Location: Chicago, IIlinois

About the role: 

We are seeking a Senior Designer, who will work as part of our creative team based in Chicago. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will be part of a fast-paced team, responsible for designing digital and print formats, helping transform complex concepts into human-centric ideas through innovative thinking. This position will serve as member of an agile, cross-functional team comprising both agency and client marketers, whose collective goal is to elevate the level of creativity and impact across multiple channels, creating visually effective creative executions with speed and excellence.    

What you will be doing: 

  • Design on-brand, on-concept graphics, layouts and contribute to the development of multi-channel campaigns and brand building tactics.  
  • Work with Brand and Marketing teams to turn project strategy and creative ideas into great designs/concepts.  
  • Champion brand standards and design systems, while establishing process to streamline creative to scale growth.  
  • Collaborate with an experienced group of writers, production artists, production managers, and marketing team.  
  • Have a passion for retail forward creative, executing and producing designs along the consumer journey during their path to purchase.
  • Evolve, implement, and steward distinctive brand world assets in all forms and channels. 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 6+ years in an advertising, branding or in-house creative agency 
  • Prior experience working in a highly regulated industry a plus (ex: alcohol/beverage/cannabis categories) 
  • Support and oversee all design projects, from conception to delivery   
  • Extremely comfortable with quickly shifting/changing priorities  
  • Experience in creative across print, digital, experiential, and environmental   
  • Review junior designers’ work to ensure high quality  
  • Refine images for both digital and print  
  • Implement campaign creative using Figma and best in class UX principals     
  • Excellent Adobe CS skills, Figma, After Effects, Premiere, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint  
  • Experience across DAM platforms (Monday.com experience is a bonus!) 
  • Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services  
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all our projects and steward brand world aesthetic 
  • Liaise with marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met  
  • Stay up to date with generative AI platforms and tools  
  • Experience with programmatic and standard HTML5 display ads     
  • Experience ideating for and executing motion graphics and video editing 
  • Experience ideating and content creation for CPG brands 
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $68,000.00 to $76,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
