About the role:
OLIVER is hiring a Senior Copywriter to join our growing team!
The Senior Copywriter will play a pivotal role in supporting our agency team to create exceptional content. We are seeking a Copywriter who will work as part of a team for a pharmaceutical client, reporting into the Copy Supervisors. The Senior Copywriter works closely with creative and account teams to ensure adherence to client’s marketing strategies and objectives within specified deadlines. You’ll be part of a team that is responsible for designing digital and print formats, helping transform complex healthcare challenges into human-centric ideas through innovative thinking. This position will serve as member of an agile, cross-functional team comprised of both agency and client marketers, whose collective goal is to elevate the level of creativity and impact across all digital channels, creating visually effective creative executions for the client’s pharmaceutical brands.
What you will be doing:
- Write in a clear and concise manner while maintaining quality control by adhering to clarity, proper grammar, agency process, data referencing, factchecking and legal requirements
- Full understanding of each disease state, brand, and brand strategy & data
- Support layouts with attention-getting techniques and compelling storytelling
- Complete compliance fact-checking with editorial to ensure compliance
- Reference and annotate content for MLR reviews
- Participate in strategic and tactical meetings with client and account management to develop effective advertising campaigns reflecting the clients objectives
- Participate in "brainstorming" team meetings and medical legal clearance meetings
- Review and proofread all materials for consistency with editorial markups
- Present creative work to clients
- Skillfully produces work across all channels
- Works independently while juggling multiple projects
- Organizes thoughts effectively and communicates them well
- Places emphasis on quality control and adherence to deadlines
- Exhibits decisive problem-solving ability
- Follow-though and communicate with art team, project management, and editorial departments to ensure smooth flow of jobs to meet deadlines
- Develops strong internal relationships with creative supervisors and account counterparts
- Has a solid client relationship; actively leads interactions with clients and forges bonds with stakeholders
- Establish rapport with client and be able to present ideas in an organized, professional, and effective manner
- Proactively solve client problems
- Maintain quality control over all copy elements
What you need to be great in this role:
- 3+ years of Pharmaceutical advertising experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant field
- Possess a strong knowledge of AMA style
- A strong attention to detail and superb communication & interpersonal skills
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work under tight timelines
- Excellent written communication skills, and a high attention to detail.
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $80,750.00 to $90,250.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
