Role: QC Specialist

About the role:
We need an eagle-eyed proofreader to have exquisite attention to detail in the usual areas but equally as important is for that person to become a key part of the team, working closely with the studio manager, production artists, copywriters and project managers to ensure quality and consistency across all output. The successful candidate will become a brand guardian to ensure the highest quality and consistency for our client. You will need to have a keen design eye to determine if assets meet specs, guidelines, file weights, etc. The role supports the Studio in all its print and digital production materials to ensure that the final product is error free and on brand.
What you will be doing:
- Work closely with the Studio Production team to ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner.
- Perform all quality control for the which includes but is not limited to ensuring the following:
- All final deliverables are of perfect quality.
- All files pass control specifications set by us for the specification set by the publication/printer.
- Checking size/colors pace and resolution of all jobs leaving the studio either for release or approval: this includes making sure all jobs have the correct color specification on all images and density specs etc.
- Checking to see if job done by studio meets the exact brief given.
- Helping Project Managers/production team to ensure that all files are of a suitable quality to work with at the start of the campaign or project.
- Monitoring the quality of all work produced in studio
- Provide support to the Studio Manager in keeping a log of mistakes and help devise ways to stop the errors in future.
- Making sure all operators file and name work correctly including the artists adhere to the appropriate workflows for any particular project.
- Ability to mark-up materials digitally
- Check all material types produced for specific brands.
- Work with the teams to ensure all marketing materials are on brief and follow brand guidelines.
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $63,750.00 to $71,250.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
What you need to be great in this role:
- 2-3 years of experience with QC
- Experience working in a role that works with different agency teams ie creative, account
- Written and interpersonal skills, prior experience working as part of creative team, someone used to the flow of work at an agency.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Must be able to work independently
- Acute attention to detail
- Keen knowledge of grammar
- Ability to prioritize workload.
