About the role: 

OLIVER collaborates with leading brands to run our in-house creative, content, and production agency that drives creative excellence and marketing effectiveness for some of the most recognized names in healthy fruit and dairy snacking. As an Account Director, you will be the primary point of contact between our in-house agency and our clients, ensuring seamless communication, smooth project execution, and client satisfaction.

In this position, you will play a pivotal part in the running, growth and development of the team and ensuring the smooth running of projects through conception to completion. We’re looking for exceptional characters who want to play a key part in pushing business growth and overseeing the smooth running of creative content production. 

Working in the advertising, digital/social or marketing sectors, the Account Director ensures the smooth production of campaigns – from strategy and creative concepting, through briefing and production, to managing budgets and overseeing our talented team of account management, community management, creative and strategy teammates. 

The Account Director is primarily responsible for the management of relationships with clients.  As the senior point of contact for our clients, the Account Director also coordinates the resources needed to service projects, builds strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work. 

Often, they will be expected to plan campaigns and successfully develop business accounts creatively and financially. 

This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across strategy, creative, production, and community management teams. You will be instrumental in overseeing marketing and communication execution across various channels, including digital, print, CRM, Web and in-store, with a primary focus on social media. You will work closely with our team to deliver culturally relevant content that drives awareness and engagement across for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and any emerging platforms.  

You will stay current with social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and industry best practices to ensure content remains relevant and optimized. You’re a leader who can own your projects and execute them efficiently and effectively to deliver content that follows brand guidelines and channel-specific best practices and requirements.

What you will be doing: 

  • Help lead cross-functional teams made up of strategy, creative concepting and campaign development, visual design, copywriting, and production 
  • Directing and managing a team to provide the utmost level of client service 
  • Liaising with senior-level clients on a day-to-day basis and make other contacts that will strengthen the client relationship 
  • Promoting the expansion of business with existing clients 
  • Working with the Business Director to generate new accounts and build existing accounts 
  • Develop sales proposals designed to meeting individual client needs that are not covered within scope 
  • Completing projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget 
  • Using your skills to push clients, and the agency, creatively and strategically 
  • Negotiate expectations, terms, conditions of services with new clients 
  • Manage an account team, along with their growth and development 
  • Act as the key liaison between the client and internal teams, ensuring alignment on marketing objectives and execution  
  • Work closely with creative, strategy, and community management team members to oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation  
  • Leverage project management skills to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the client's brand, business goals, and marketing strategy to drive results-driven initiatives 
  • Ensure smooth workflow operations, coordinating between compliance, creative, and production teams to deliver high-quality marketing materials 
  • Take in client feedback, assess the best way to move forward, and communicate instructions/next steps to the team by making recommendations and decisions 
  • Assist with brainstorming and concepting, look for every opportunity to bring creativity forward, convey strategic sensibility when evaluating, or presenting creative work 
  • Review and refine creative project briefs, gather supporting files, collaborate with our creative team to develop, adapt, optimize, and deploy assets according to all required digital formats and specifications  
  • Support the creative development process by providing strategic guidance, managing stakeholder feedback, and ensuring final assets align with brand and regulatory guidelines
  • Stay up-to-date with CPG industry trends, emerging marketing technologies, and AI-driven solutions to inform strategy and execution  

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 7-10+ years of experience in account/project management within an advertising agency, marketing agency, or equivalent, with specific social media experience  
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills 
  • Thrives in a fast-pace, ever-changing environment focused on results and progress 
  • Solutions-oriented, upbeat, and a natural-born leader 
  • Exhibits a passion for digital creation and strategy for cross-channel solutions 
  • The ability to plan and strategize at a senior level 
  • A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects

  • Full awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital platforms and production  
  • Strong experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital and social content production from concept through to creative and copy development to optimize content for social channels 
  • Knowledge of platform trends and best practices for social and digital channels to bring forward new content ideas and test & learn opportunities for clients 
  • Client facing industry experience managing “the making” or delivery of great creative work  
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools such as Workfront, Monday, or Wrike
  • Understanding of digital design, photo, video and 3D/CGI production processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and external partners
  • A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate complex projects and provide strategic recommendations
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey creative and technical concepts effectively 
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable and charismatic in front of the camera, participating in the making of our content 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Mac OS
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $106,250.00 to $118,750.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package
