Role: Senior Social Project Manager

Location: Toronto, Canada

About the role:

In this role, the Senior Social Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing an internal team (content creators, community managers, creative, strategy + analytics) across seven brands in partnership with the account management team.  You'll be the essential connective tissue between our clients and internal teams, ensuring both exceptional service and outstanding work that drives business results. Working at the intersection of client needs, strategic objectives, and creative execution, you'll translate business challenges into inspiring briefs that unlock our team's best thinking.

You'll be the production backbone of the client’s social content operation, orchestrating fast-turnaround campaigns, always-on content, and creator-led projects across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms. You'll keep complex, multi-stream social projects moving smoothly from brief to publish, partnering closely with creatives, content creators, social media managers, and the client's brand teams. Your ability to bring order to speed, and rigor to agility, will ensure the studio consistently delivers high-quality social work on time and on budget.

We're looking for someone who thrives in quick-turnaround environments, who understands social content production inside and out, and who can coordinate across creative teams, external creators, and client stakeholders without dropping a beat. Success means social work that ships on time, on brief, and on budget, with the studio running efficiently, the team supported, and the client confident in the process.

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project discussions and delivery for cross-functional stakeholders (brand managers, internal teams, senior leadership). Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production workflow from initial brand brief to internal development and asset reviews, approvals, and distribution
  • Create project plans and timelines that ensure seamless execution across multiple workstreams
  • Spearhead the briefing process, translating client objectives into clear creative direction and transforming client feedback into actionable guidance for creative teams
  • Establish and enforce internal processes and best practices to improve speed-to-publish and quality control
  • Responsible for actively managing all project bookings and out of pocket production expenses inside our proprietary project management platform
  • Manage resource allocation and work intake; balance competing priorities across seven brands and escalate resourcing needs
  • Stay ahead of client business challenges to proactively suggest solutions, driving continuous improvement in how we serve the client
  • Maintain clear status reporting and documentation for all active initiatives
  • Ensure all content complies with brand guidelines, legal/regulatory standards, and platform policies.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 6–8+ years of project/program management experience, with at least 3–4 years managing social media or content production teams. Demonstrated experience leading multi-brand or multi-product social programs (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels, preferably in CPG, food & beverage, or retail) in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in translating client feedback into constructive direction for creative teams, providing a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to keep people informed, unblocked, and focused
  • Experience with creative review and approval workflows, digital asset management, and compliance processes
  • The ability to balance client service excellence with agency priorities
  • Experience in resource management, and an eye for creative quality and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with project management and social tools (Asana, Monday, Jira, Trello, Google Workspace; Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, or similar). PMP, Scrum Master, or other project management certification is a plus.
  • Strong budget management skills, including scope management, tracking, and reporting across multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience leading, implementing and improving cross-functional processes, calendars, and creative workflows with company stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write clear briefs and present status updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Must be able to prioritize under pressure, and communicate clearly when timelines or scope shift.
  • A solid understanding of social content formats, production requirements, and platform specifications. Specifically, experience with social-first short-form video production and TikTok/Instagram Reels best practices.
  • Collaborative mindset, diplomacy, and adaptability
  • Agentic mindset: ability to collaborate, break down complex production challenges, identify the most efficient path, and execute systematically
  • Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, with a focus on responsible use and human oversight. Ability to evaluate where AI tools add genuine production value and where human craft and judgement are essential.
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $97,750.00 to $109,250.00 CAD Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
