Role: Digital Content Designer

Location: New York

About the role:

As Digital Content Designer, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end design and production of content for our client's flagship digital display platform. Working within a proprietary web-based CMS, you'll translate approved content strategy into motion-driven visual stories — balancing creative quality with the operational demands of a high-frequency, real-time publishing environment.

This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll bring strong craft authority, sound creative judgement, and the organisational rigour to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, stakeholder-rich setting.

What you will be doing:

Design and Content Development

  • Design and produce digital content for flagship display platform using a proprietary CMS, ensuring every output meets brand, quality, and technical standards.
  • Create motion-driven visual stories that combine imagery, typography, animation, and concise messaging — designed to communicate clearly within seconds.
  • Customise pre-built templates with considered layouts, pacing, and visual treatments tailored to each communication type, from brand campaigns and promotional moments to market-driven content and evergreen storytelling.
  • Apply design system and brand standards consistently across all output.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Legal, and Compliance teams throughout the review and approval process.
  • Prepare and optimise photography, video, typography, and motion assets for large-scale external digital display.
  • Use Gen AI tools to accelerate ideation, image generation, and asset production — maintaining rigorous brand quality and human oversight throughout.

Content Operations

  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects, meeting tight deadlines in a real-time publishing environment with quick-turn capability.
  • Organize media assets, project files, and deliverables according to established CMS workflows and content management standards.
  • Maintain version control, archiving, metadata tagging, and asset handoff processes.
  • Apply scheduling strategies and performance learnings to continuously improve content quality and audience engagement.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in motion graphics, AI-assisted production, and digital storytelling.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, digital storytelling, typography, and branded content — ideally including work designed for large-format, out-of-home, or digital display environments.
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience working within web-based CMS platforms and digital publishing systems.
  • A strong grasp of animation principles and how to apply them to brand storytelling at pace.
  • The ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, compelling visual communication.
  • Experience designing for multiple screen formats and large-scale display environments.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume creative production with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills — comfortable operating within structured workflows with tight turnaround times.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience navigating multi-stakeholder review and approval processes.
  • Comfortable working in executive-facing environments where professionalism and discretion are important.

Gen AI and Agentic Thinking

  • Advanced use of Gen AI tools — including image generation and AI-assisted production workflows — to enhance creative output and efficiency.
  • Experience building and refining personal AI workflows, with the ability to share approaches with peers.
  • Agentic thinking for complex, multi-step production challenges: able to break tasks down, identify efficient paths forward, and execute with precision.
  • Strong critical judgement when evaluating AI outputs, with a consistent commitment to human oversight and brand quality.
