THE ROLE: Sales Planning + Operations Manager - OLLY 

The Sales Planning + Operations Manager is a key contributor to the sales planning team. The team is the hub in the wheel of Sales and is responsible for coordinating between the internal cross-functional team and all Field Sales stakeholders. The job requires experience, patience, influencing, and flexibility to manage complex scenarios and take advantage of the opportunities that a growing company might face. This role reports into the Senior Director of Sales Planning and will support the OLLY brand within the VMS Co-Op.

This candidate will manage Omni-Channel customers and support our highest volume accounts with responsibilities ranging from administrative tasks to project management including customer/vendor set up, item set up & management, price list maintenance, new packaging configuration requests and monthly sales outlooks. To be successful in this role, one will provide exceptional sales planning support and a focus on driving sales to reach individual and company revenue goals.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Sales planning omni-channel lead, responsible for leading all channel calls and weekly meetings with field sales 
  • Manage tools and resources needed for the fields sales team to execute in market (price lists, specifications, etc).  
  • Act as the Supply Chain liaison for Sales Planning: Manage product allocations as needed, operate as the escalation point person to mitigate service challenges with the supply chain team, and assist in the annual SKU Rationalization process 
  • Be part of the ‘hub’ that all communication flows through and act as overall channel-specific conduit between field sales and cross-functional teams at OLLY 
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats 
  • Work closely with sales teams to establish clear sales targets, aligning to organizational goals and objectives 
  • Aid Field Sales counterparts in the monthly forecasting and S&OP process by providing insights based on data; monitor and adjust as needed to respond to changes both internally and externally 
  • Lead the preparation for respective key channel customer meetings, category reviews and trade shows, including outlining meeting objectives, developing/curating materials, and facilitating cross-functional engagement 
  • Assist the field team as needed in the execution of new product launches​ 
  • Develop, own, and maintain sales planning tools which are critical to daily operations

 CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Successful track record as a Sales Planning & Execution Manager with 5-7 years ears of Sales Planning and Execution – experience in Nutrition is a plus 
  • A deep knowledge of and sales experience working with multiple retail channels in Mass, Club, Food, Drug, Specialty, and Natural​ 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends effectively 
  • Minimum of 3 years  using IRI, Nielsen, or other syndicated data platforms 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and innovative sensibility​ 
  • Adept at cross-functional collaboration, a true team player who can work in partnership to influence and get results
  • The ability to multi-task and thrive in a deadline driven environment 
  • Dedication to personal and professional accountability - you ask questions, learn quickly and find solutions 
  • You are curious – you possess the drive to always be learning and growing, professionally and personally

  • Round 1: Conversation with the Hiring Manager + 1-2 conversations with other Ollies on the team
  • Round 2: 2-3 conversations with team or cross functional Ollies

LOCATION: : San Francisco, CA (Hybrid - Tuesdays in office / 4 days WFH)

HOURS: Full-time, Exempt 

MANAGER:  Senior Sales Planning Director 

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.  

The pay range for this position is $115,000 - 140,000 dependent on experience and location.
