THE ROLE: DIRECTOR OF BRAND STRATEGY & BUSINESS GROWTH

The Director of Brand Strategy & Business Growth leads OLLY's Brand Strategy Team and plays a critical role in turning business ambition intobrand-driven growth. Working across OLLY's portfolio, this leader guides segment growth strategies, develops high-performing brand leaders,and connects consumer, commercial and operational perspectives into a unified plan for action. As a trusted partner to the VP of Brand Strategy& Innovation, they lead key strategic initiatives, diagnose business opportunities, and help ensure OLLY remains focused on the priorities that willdrive disproportionate growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the Brand Strategy Organization

  • Lead and develop OLLY's Brand Strategy team, building a high-performing organization capable of driving both brand health and businessgrowth. Coach and develop segment leaders to operate as owners of their businesses, creating accountability for performance, strategic rigor,and cross-functional leadership. Foster collaboration across segments while ensuring resources and focus are directed toward OLLY'sgreatest growth opportunities.

Drive Segment & Portfolio Growth Strategy

  • Partner with Brand Managers to develop clear growth strategies for OLLY's core business segments. Translate consumer insights, categorydynamics, marketplace trends, and business objectives into actionable growth plans. Identify the most significant opportunities, barriers, andstrategic choices that will shape the future of OLLY, while ensuring segment strategies ladder into a cohesive growth agenda.

Put the Brand at the Center of the Business

  • Serve as the steward of the OLLY brand, ensuring consumer and brand strategy inform decisions across Marketing, Media, Commercial,Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Innovation. Build organizational alignment around who we serve, what the brand stands for, wherefuture growth will come from, and what matters most to win. Connect functional strategies into one integrated brand and business growth plan.

Lead Business Performance & Growth Management

  • Own a comprehensive view of business performance across revenue, share, household penetration, velocity, distribution, repeat, pricing, mix,and profitability. Diagnose underlying drivers of performance, identify emerging opportunities and risks, establish clear KPIs, and ensuresegment and portfolio strategies evolve based on business results.

Lead Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects

  • Partner closely with the VP of Brand Strategy & Innovation to lead high-impact, cross-functional projects that accelerate growth, improveorganizational effectiveness, unlock new capabilities, or address critical business opportunities. Provide structured problem-solving, strategicanalysis, and leadership to move priorities from concept to action.

Strategic Leadership & Organizational Influence

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the VP of Brand Strategy & Innovation and a key connector across the organization. Elevate strategicthinking, commercial acumen, and growth management capabilities across teams. Build alignment around priorities, drive decision-makingwith data and consumer insights, and ensure the organization remains focused on the initiatives that will create disproportionate impact.

THE CANDIDATE

14+ years of experience across brand management, brand strategy, business strategy, commercial strategy, general management, orgrowth leadership, ideally with experience in ecommerce and media. This leader combines strong brand and consumer thinking withcommercial and financial acumen, understanding how to translate insights into growth strategies that drive business performance.

They understand that brand strategy cannot live in a silo. They ensure that what the brand stands for, who it serves, and where it has thegreatest right to win informs decisions across media investment, customer strategy, innovation, commercial planning, forecasting, demandplanning, and operations. They are equally comfortable shaping long-term growth strategies, diagnosing business performance, andleading cross-functional teams against the company's highest-priority opportunities.

Strong analytical and financial acumen, coupled with a proven track record of developing talent, influencing senior leaders, and buildingalignment across complex organizations.

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Experience partnering across Marketing, Media, Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Innovation.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, demand planning, annual business planning, and portfolio management processes.
  • Ability to connect consumer insights, brand health, commercial performance, and financial results to inform growth strategies andbusiness decisions.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional teams around a common vision, priorities, and growth agenda.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering strong business ownership, accountability, andstrategic thinking.
  • Comfortable moving seamlessly between long-term strategic planning, complex problem-solving, and detailed business analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives and drive high-impact projects from insight to execution.
  • Highly collaborative, curious, commercially minded, and action-oriented.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • Initial video screen with a member of our Talent team
  • Round 1: Conversation with the Hiring Manager + 1-2 conversations with other Ollies on the team
  • Round 2: 2-3 conversations with team or cross functional Ollies
  • Final Round: Homework*
