Job Description
As a Senior Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician, you will independently perform advanced-level construction materials testing and special inspections work with occasional advice from a supervisor. You will also direct efforts of less-experienced staff, local travel to various project sites around the Omaha metro area, and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions. Company vehicle is provided to travel to and from various project sites.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and testing on large commercial and industrial construction sites.
- Prepare daily inspection and test reports.
- Review inspection and test data for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with training and mentoring of less experienced staff, with potential to lead a team of field staff on large projects.
- Work with engineers and clients to ensure specifications are being followed.

- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred.
- 2-5 years’ experience in construction observation or special inspections.
- Various ICC Certifications, ACI Grade I, Various NICET Certifications, Nuclear Gauge certifications required OR a bachelors degree in engineering with EIT.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving history.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
