Job Description
Olsson’s Power Delivery team is seeking an experienced Engineer to support transmission and distribution projects for utility clients across the country. In this role, you’ll apply your technical knowledge to design and deliver high-quality overhead and underground power systems, contribute to construction documentation, and collaborate closely with project managers and technical teams.
This is a great opportunity for a licensed engineer ready to apply their experience to real-world utility infrastructure while continuing to grow in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver designs for transmission and distribution projects, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Support the preparation of construction documents, project cost estimates, and design reports.
- Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and project managers to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Apply engineering judgment to ensure design quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Assist with field reviews, site assessments, and project coordination with clients.
- Contribute to internal standards, process improvements, and mentoring of junior staff.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 4+ years of engineering experience, preferably in utility transmission or distribution.
- Proficiency or exposure to PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or related design tools.
- Willingness to travel for project coordination or field visits.
Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.
Colorado Pay Range
$80,000 - $129,000 USD
