Per Diem Pharmacist (FQHC Retail Pharmacy) - Onsite
Looking for a compassionate, patient centric per diem pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations by covering, or providing overlap, for the current pharmacy manager.
This position is for a per-diem retail pharmacist for a pharmacy located within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
You will be responsible for:

managing our pharmacy relationship with our health center client.

engaging with clinic providers and their clinical staff
-
providing drug related education
-
acting as a member of the patient care team.
Primary Role:

demonstrating the highest standard of patient quality care - from advising on prescriptions to helping treat chronic and specialty conditions.

facilitating a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride by leading, and directing your pharmacy staff to achieve specific goals.
Essential Job Functions:

Provide support and education to patients on their medications.

Management of staff pharmacist and technicians, if applicable. Address knowledge gaps by increasing knowledge through education and training.

Pharmacy operational management and oversight. This includes:
o Patient Safety
o Pharmacy Professional Practice
o Regulatory Requirements
o Quality Assurance
o Customer Service
o Personnel Management
o Inventory Management
o Financial Profitability
o Loss Prevention
o Workflow Management

Keep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Fraud Waste and Abuse credentialing.

Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures.

Ensure that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State and Local laws regulated.

Ensure that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies.
Required Education & Licenses:
-
Required Pharmacist License in the state in which you are practicing.

Required Bachelor of Science OR PharmD in Pharmacy degree from an accredited university is required.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
-
Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting (3 years)
-
340b knowledge is a bonus but not required.
-
3 years related pharmacy experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Exceptional patient service skills.
