Staff Software Engineer (Vehicle Intelligence and Autonomous Systems Tech) - Mountain View, CA (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

Work across our entire stack to develop new products, features, and tools for our customers' autonomy development workflows

Identify and scope complex engineering challenges, design elegant solutions, and lead implementation across teams.

Influence the technical strategy of the team when balancing work on new features, scaling challenges, and technical debt.

- Salary: $230k - $323k
- Visa sponsorship available: TN or H1B for sure; evaluating other visas on a case-by-case basis.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 7 - 10 years of experience shipping complex software - open to frontend, backend, fullstack, infra/cloud.
- Startup experience (seed - Series B), founder or founding engineer experience a big plus. Particularly from top startups (Rivian, Tesla, Stripe, Ramp, etc.) preferred
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions to complex architectural problems.
- Experience mentoring software engineers.
- CS degree from top university is a plus.
- Production experience writing in C++, Python, TypeScript, or Golang.
- Working knowledge of frontend, API layer, containerization, or cluster orchestration frameworks (such as React, GraphQL, Docker, or Kubernetes).
- Experience working with simulation tools, modeling physical problems, or using robotics middlewares (such as ROS).
- Evidence of something exceptional (former founder, KP fellows, history of trajectory, etc.).
- Able to work in-person in Mountain View 5 days/week.
