Full Stack Software Engineer (AI Tech) - Hybrid
About the Role:
Blockit is building an AI scheduling assistant designed to help people protect their time and strengthen their relationships. Our vision is simple: everyone should have access to the same intelligent, trustworthy assistant that can anticipate their needs and schedule accordingly. Backed by strong funding and operating as a tight-knit 10-person team in San Francisco, we’re growing quickly and looking for a thoughtful, product-minded engineer to join us as we define the future of AI-assisted scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
As a backend-leaning full stack engineer, you’ll:
- lead development on the intelligence layer of our scheduling agent — the system that determines who you should meet, when, and why.
- You’ll build infrastructure to interpret behavioral signals, relationship data, and calendar activity, and create smart logic that makes the agent feel truly contextual and human.
- You’ll work closely with design and product to ship intelligent features like warm intros and AI-driven proposals, while owning and scaling the backend systems that power them.
- This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on autonomy, cares deeply about product experience, and wants to shape a tool that helps people connect better through time.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Seniority:

4+ years of experience building and shipping software in production.
Work Experience:
- Product engineering experience
- Experience at a high-growth “startups” (think retool, ramp, notion, etc.), and now wanting to join an early-stage company
- Experience building product / features that uses LLM
- Experience working with graph data, contact graphs, or social network modeling
Education:
- CS Degree from a top-tier university (MIT, Stanford, Ivies, CMU, etc.)
Hard Skills:
- Strong backend fundamentals — you know how to design and operate reliable systems
- Product-oriented mindset: you care about the why, not just the how
- Comfortable working full stack when necessary
- Exposure to AI/LLM systems or human-in-the-loop workflows
Soft Skills:
- Excited to work at a seed-stage startup
- Excited by the challenge of building a practical AI agent that interacts with real people and calendars
- Self-directed and proactive — you take initiative and follow through
- Interest in productivity tools
ROLE DETAILS:
- Salary: $150k - $220k
- Equity: 0.1% – 0.5%
- Visa sponsorship available
- Hybrid Work Policy: In-person in SF 4 days a week
