Senior Associate, People Operations

Boston - Remote

About the Role 

As a Senior Associate, People Operations at OM1, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across the employee lifecycle. You’ll bring 3–5+ years of experience in People Operations with a focus on benefits administration, HR systems, and compliance, along with strong analytical and technical skills. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing core People processes, optimizing workflows, and serving as a go-to resource for HR systems and reporting. You’ll also bring deep expertise in benefits and compensation, ensuring OM1 remains competitive and compliant. Beyond execution, you’ll champion innovation, leveraging automation, generative AI, and emerging technologies to improve processes, enhance decision-making, and elevate how we deliver People services.       


What You’ll Do at OM1

Total Rewards Administration

  • Lead Open Enrollment processes, communications, and carrier/vendor coordination.
  • Facilitate new hire benefits enrollment processes
  • Manage Leave of Absence (LOA) administration, COBRA administration, and international/remote benefits programs.
  • Analyze benefits offerings and utilization data to identify improvements and inform vendor negotiations.
  • Collaborate on annual renewal processes and carrier negotiations; validate carrier invoices.
  • Support annual compensation processes, including benchmarking with Radford and other surveys, salary structure updates, and compliance with pay regulations.

Employee Data Management & Reporting

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HRIS (ADP preferred), leading configurations, enhancements, integrations, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across systems, ensuring seamless integration with CultureAmp and other tools.
  • Partner with IT and vendors to ensure HR tools are efficient, user-friendly, and support a seamless employee experience.
  • Drive automation and AI integration to optimize reporting, compliance tracking, and employee workflows.

Compliance & Administration

  • Lead annual federal and state compliance reporting 
  • Support company-wide compliance activities 
  • Oversee job description management, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date

Process Improvement & Special Projects

  • Identify opportunities to apply generative AI and other emerging technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and personalization across People processes.
  • Pilot and implement new tools and approaches that streamline workflows and elevate the employee experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally to refine People programs, policies, and practices to better support employees and managers.

What Experience You’ll Bring

  • 3–5+ years of experience in People Operations, with demonstrated expertise in benefits administration, HR systems, and compliance.
  • Strong HRIS expertise (ADP preferred) with data extraction, reporting, and system optimization experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, statistical functions); experience with reporting and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience pulling and interpreting compensation data from Radford (or similar survey tools) to support benchmarking, plus solid understanding of benefits administration, compliance, and vendor/carrier management.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead technology-driven change.
  • Curiosity and comfort with emerging technologies, especially generative AI.

What’s Nice to Have

  • Experience with compensation survey vendors (Radford preferred).
  • Familiarity with CultureAmp or other employee engagement platforms.
  • Exposure to international benefits and remote work compliance.
  • Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Generate, analyze, and present HR and benefits-related metrics to leadership to guide data-driven decisions.
