Expert Physician - Obesity & Weight Health

Job Overview:

We are seeking a board-certified, licensed physician with deep expertise in obesity medicine and weight health to support the design, development, and delivery of innovative clinical programs at Omada Health. This role will be up to one-year duration, limited term part-time position (15-20 hours/week) and will report to the Vice President, Clinical Innovation & Quality and will play a pivotal role in shaping our obesity and weight health strategy.  You will partner cross-functionally with business units, including Product, Design, Engineering, Care Delivery, Commercial, Legal, Privacy, and Data to build best-in-class programs that integrate clinical rigor with user centered digital health solutions. 

Beyond program development, you will serve as a trusted internal subject matter expert. This includes contributing to education and training in your area of clinical expertise and advising on product innovation and research initiatives. 

Your Impact:

  • Provide clinical thought leadership and strategic thinking to guide program innovation in the areas of obesity, weight management, and GLP-1 support
  • Develop and refine clinical guidelines, care team protocols, and evidence-based approaches for managing obesity and related chronic conditions
  • Serve as Omada’s internal expert on all aspects of obesity care and weight health, ensuring scientific and clinical rigor across program design
  • Stay current on emerging research in obesity medicine, lifestyle interventions, digital health research, and translate insights into strategy and practice
  • Provide clinical guidance into the development of new product features and functionality
  • Collaborate with the internal clinical quality team, research team, and external advisors to continuously evaluate and improve care delivery across conditions

About You:

  • MD or DO with 5+ years clinical experience in obesity medicine and weight health/weight management
  • Board certified in Obesity Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in 1 or more U.S. states
  • Adept at navigating a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and thrive in ambiguity
  • Excellent oral presentation and interpersonal skills with both commercial and clinical audiences

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience working directly with Product, Engineering, and Design teams and delivering healthcare technology solutions
  • Understanding of the digital health industry and the healthcare ecosystem, including employers, health plans (commercial and Medicare), consultants, PBMs, and vendors
  • Strong network and relationships with thought leaders across the health industry
  • Expertise in physician quality assessment, quality improvement methodology, and population health management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills within remote-first digital healthcare 
  • Excellent research skills and publication record
