About the Role:

As the Digital Performance Business Director, you will be responsible for all performance activity and digital development across the account. 

You will provide thought leadership that sets the performance agenda for Specsavers; one that is market-leading and innovative at heart. This will involve collaboration with our media partners and our central technology team to develop out of the box solutions that deliver competitive advantage for Specsavers. 

The successful candidate will likely have been in the industry with a strong performance background and digital understanding. ​

The ideal candidate will be an expert in all performance fundamentals from defining the media task, developing the performance strategy, translating media strategies into action, and evaluating the impact of actions against client objectives and business outcomes. ​

They will have experience within key digital performance channels (Paid Search, Programmatic Display & Paid Social) and exposure to ATL performance channels (OOH, and Audio). They will have fluency in media planning tools designed to enhance flighting, phasing and weighting of campaigns. ​

Communication skills are critical in this role, so the ability to construct logical and persuasive recommendations is key. Their naturally collaborative approach is likely to drive both effective working patterns internally, and a good profile with media owner partners and key senior clients alike. ​

Experience in Paid Search & E-commerce is preferred. Similarly, experience with clients on the Google stack is ideal.

Skills

A deep understanding of all media channels & Specialist propositions within the digital landscape (and a developing MG OMD and wider OMG specific knowledge)​

Familiar with advanced attribution and measurement solutions to drive performance planning and the development of future media activity using tools such as Google Analytics, Keyword Planner, Facebook Analytics & Google Trends​

Key analytical capabilities, confidence in the manipulation of large data sets, and an understanding of the ways that the use of data (including client first party data) can driver better results in marketing. ​

Be able to extract the key information from client briefs, challenging where required, and defining what is needed to provide a suitable response​

The ability to design and nurture innovative ideas through collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders ​

Proven excellence in story-telling and narrative building to deliver impactful, persuasive proposals to clients​

Deliverables

Reporting into the Head of Digital, the Performance BD will be responsible for setting and defining trading forecasts across the year, as well as the Digital Maturity Agenda for Specsavers. ​

Responsible for the development of core team (AD, AM, Executive) ensuring best practice excellence in performance craft, data analysis, presentation storytelling and commercials​

Identify opportunities to improve legacy process driving efficiencies in day-to-day output of core team, and work with senior agency partners to design bespoke, new to market opportunities and build impactful joint business partnerships​

Hold strong relationships with all specialist team leads, media partners, agency and group to ensure strong information flow and effective working processes and best in class work delivery. ​

Owns the relationship with Senior clients within the marketing team to ensure effective collaboration between MG OMD (and OMG) and the Specsavers Business (and its partners), guiding and educating clients where necessary to progress client's digital maturity.
