Manager, Display & Programmatic
About the Role:
We are seeking a programmatic manager to join our agency team dedicated to a top technology client.
They will be joining a combined programmatic & digital investment unit, responsible for delivering best in class full funnel programmatic campaigns, as well as direct video activity in EU & MERT markets. This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the world’s most exciting brands, covering all tasks from campaign planning, execution, reporting and forward-facing strategic opportunities.
The right candidate will have advanced knowledge of the programmatic landscape, with experience delivering campaigns using multiple DSPs and other digital platforms (e.g. ad servers, ad verification etc). They will also have worked with multiple video partners on either a programmatic or direct basis. A go getter attitude is essential, with a keenness for digital innovation and pushing boundaries to better our activity at all times. A history of managing junior members in a previous role is a bonus.
Campaign Management:
- Create media plans and submit for approval, with rationale on campaign planning and strategy.
- Execute display & video campaigns to the highest level as well as oversee executives campaign management.
- Optimise daily in order to best achieve the clients KPIs.
- Liaise with the wider planning team and other digital channel teams to stay on top of a fast paced and regularly updated campaign schedule.
Reporting:
- Keep track of reporting schedules and templates.
- Proactively provide performance insights to internal teams in flight.
- Coordinate and present reports to global and local teams, including PCAs and QBRs.
- Daily monitoring of performance against campaign objectives and KPIs.
Line Management & Education:
- Responsible for the career development of direct reports.
- Upskill junior members of the programmatic & digital investment team across all day to day task.
- Be a leader of a pod or traders, able to pick up and teach current process, as well as recommend new approaches based on your current experience.
- Work with the account director to pull together education sessions for internal and external teams.
Partners & Strategy:
- Maintain strong relationship with DSPs, vendor partners, technology suppliers & publishers to stay ahead of latest market trends and developments.
- Feed into cross channel digital testing roadmaps with new opportunities and vendor beta tests.
- Assist the Account Director with forward facing programmatic & video strategy tasks.
- Ensure all relevant teams in the wider business are informed about new providers and updates to existing technologies.
This is a fast-paced environment, working and connecting with some of the industry’s best marketing and advertising professionals all around the world. This position reports to the Digital Investment Account Director, working closely with the comms and media teams in London, Los Angeles, and local EU and MERT markets. The role will also be deeply connected to the wider OMD EMEA Digital Channel teams.
About You:
- Advanced user of multiple DSPs (with DV360 a must).
- In depth understanding of programmatic technologies and an ability to talk about them with ease.
- Good understanding of media KPIs across the full funnel.
- Regularly produced responses to brief across programmatic & direct video buys.
- Strong ability to juggle multiple priorities, with understanding on how to delegate work efficiently.
- Motivated and can lead a team, as well as manage up.
- Competent working in Excel and comfortable working with granular data at speed.
- A curious learner, with great attention to detail, who works with diligence.
- A creative problem solver who can think ‘outside the box’ to find solutions.
- History of collaboration across multiple teams is a bonus.

For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
