Title: Account Executive

The AE is responsible for creating timelines (in conjunction with the traffic department), managing account estimates and the OOP budget, and establishing time and event schedules. The AE must have excellent communication skills with both clients and internal departments. The AE must be a proactive person who can multi-task, coordinate tactical implementation with the Agency, foster a positive team atmosphere, and be a leader. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Understand creative process, draft creative briefs and provide ideas for improving existing executions 
  • Develop client estimates based on approved SOW 
  • Help to manage day-to-day business of the account with responsibility for ensuring that work is done on-time and on-budget 
  • Responsible for OOP budget: 
  • Work is completed within budget 
  • Request revised estimates if revisions affecting cost are requested 
  • Obtain signed estimates promptly 
  • Alert Client to financial ramifications of decisions in a timely manner 
  • Ensure that all billing is done accurately and promptly 
  • Track OOP billing to ensure that all expenses fall within approved guidelines 
  • Closes jobs 
  • Work diligently to meet Client's accounting needs e.g. accrues monies at the end of the calendar year per Client/Agency agreements, etc. vendors (premiums, special services, media buyers, etc.) 
  • Responsible for ensuring that account is organized and efficient: 
  • Opening and tracking POs 
  • Maintaining/circulating accurate and complete Client and Job Lists 
  • Maintaining competitive binders 
  • Requesting job numbers 
  • Attending status meetings 
  • Develop timetables in conjunction with traffic and production 
  • Produce accurate and timely status reports/contact reports 
  • Responsible for competitive overviews/analyses/POVs/monitoring 
  • Develop agendas for Client meetings 
  • Manage time effectively, meet deadlines, attention to detail, and set priorities for specific assignments, especially when handling multiple projects 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both Clients and staff 
  • Work with supervisor to ensure that all materials produced are accurate and represent the agency in a positive light 
  • Continue to build mastery of marketing/advertising concepts 
  • Evolve into an effective resource for Agency personnel 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Foster a positive, productive team atmosphere and establish credibility both internally and externally 
  • Oversee more junior staff where applicable according to account staffing 
  • Oversee administration and assist with scheduling of meetings and ensure appropriate equipment is used 
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Client's business and Agency assignment 
  • Develop knowledge of Client's goals and vision -- both the brand itself and the people involved -- and interact appropriately 
  • If appropriate, coordinate tactical implementation with the Agency and client 
  • Communicate direction/Client feedback to creative staff clearly and concisely 
  • Record and summarize all Client contacts/decisions/approvals 
  • Primary Client contact is generally Associate/Assistant Product Manager 
  • Project professional, positive attitude/image toward Clients 
  • Establish credibility internally and with Clients 
  • Uphold quality standards in servicing the Client 
  • In person client travel is required 

Qualifications 

  • College degree 
  • 1 year Agency or comparable outside experience 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Familiarity with basic business principles 
  • Professional demeanor

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire. 

  • $53,000 - $76,500
