About the Role:

The Junior Account Manager is a key support role for the wider client services team, touching all areas related to the daily management of client business, including administration, financial tracking and project progression.

The Junior Account Manager works closely with other members of the client services team, supporting live projects and programmes, whilst beginning to build long-lasting client relationships with support from senior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication

  • Ensure clarity in written and verbal communications, adapting tone for clients vs. internal teams.
  • Coordinate project development across departments.
  • Update the team on task progress and completion to facilitate their responsibilities.
  • Begin to manage client expectations effectively.

Organization and Planning

  • Support account team with project delivery, including creating and updating schedules, estimates, and trackers.
  • Develop and track budgets and schedules.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Arrange and follow up on team meetings and status updates.
  • Brief stakeholders on involvement as needed.
  • Work across multiple accounts, handling different clients and projects.
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative support.
  • Enter time and submit expenses by deadlines.

Project Delivery

  • Collaborate with senior team members and departments to manage project resources, ensuring adherence to SOPs.
  • Ensure high-quality project delivery on time and within budget, maintaining quality control.
  • Oversee project completion, schedule team meetings, and brief teams on time and quality expectations.
  • Attend weekly account team meetings and drive the agenda.
  • Complete client contact reports with minimal supervision.
  • Execute projects independently, adhering to internal processes.
  • Participate in quality assurance through medical and marketing reviews.
  • Prioritize tasks and ensure quality deliverables meet required standards.
  • Brief stakeholders on involvement and manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Adapt to changing situations and prioritize urgent client requests.
  • Enter time and submit expenses by set deadlines.

Collaboration and Building Relationships

  • Schedule and participate in client teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with senior support
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, making valuable contributions to your team

Financial Acumen

  • Ensure that all financial reports are kept up to date for both internal and external use
  • Work with more senior team members to build budgets and associated documents

Skills and Experience:

Essential Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant science/communications/marketing subject
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team 
  • Passion for excellence and be extremely detail oriented
  • Highly organized, and have the ability to manage workload, manage time, and prioritize tasks

Desirable

  • Previous experience in medical communications, or marketing agency would be highly advantageous
  • Ability to travel internationally
