
VP, Group Account Director
Title: VP, Group Account Director
Purpose: VP, Group Account Directors are key to the acquisition and retention of clients and staff by supporting the vision and shared values that provide the agency with market differentiation. They serve as an agency leader for achieving a client’s communication and business objectives by strategically guiding clients to grow a brand by way of deep category knowledge, strategic marketing acumen, value-added relationships, and a passion for the healthcare industry.
The VP, Group Account Director typically has the responsibility for managing $3-5mm, works with a high level of independence, grows business, proficiently manages and develops others, has a deep operational knowledge, fosters collaborative cross-functional teams, and exhibits strong strategic leadership.
Objectives:
1. DIRECT
· Independently provide ongoing stewardship for the brand by determining or reassessing brand positioning, strategy, objectives, and tactical plan
· Ensure project briefs are on strategy with measurable objectives for success positioning, strategy, objectives, and tactical plan
· Establish consistent communication and interaction with clients to manage and align on expectations
· Delegate tasks appropriately and to provide learning opportunities for all members of your team, including direct reports
· Use sound judgment and discretion for conflict resolution
1. ORCHESTRATE
· Be the linchpin for producing great work through partnership and mediation across departments
· Lead annual brand planning process to develop strategy and secure revenue for the upcoming year as
well as push the boundaries of tactical thinking
· Facilitate and confidently push for creative excellence that achieve brand goals and demonstrate
agency excellence through data-driven insights

· Forge strong client relationships with all levels of clients and extended client team
· Consistently reach out to others at the agency to share learnings and knowledge from
· their business. Stay connected to others in the agency to pull learnings from as well
· Recognize and reward direct reports for living our values: Do Good, Be Authentic, and
Raise Hell
1. REACH
· Connect to senior management with ongoing client, brand, and team updates
· Become a brand expert, immerse yourself in industry trends and reports; evaluate client research, and provide forward thinking POVs and value added ideas to influence client decision-making and grow the business
· Engage in new business pitches when opportunities arise
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· 7 years’ prior work experience preferably in an agency, marketing,
The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
