
Proposal Manager (Pharmaceutical Market Research)
SPECIFIC CAPABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
We seek a talented Pharma Market Research Proposal Manager to lead the development of winning proposals that drive our growth strategy. This role blends hands-on proposal leadership with strategic business development insights. The ideal candidate understands market research, enjoys following industry trends, and has strength in copy writing, marketing, and information design. You will manage the full proposal lifecycle for select RFPs, create pitch presentations, and will organize and maintain our sales asset library. You will also help support marketing efforts provide input for social media posts, white paper articles and case studies. Our team values initiative, creativity and teamwork. Proposal Writing & Strategy
Overview: Lead and manage the proposal development process from start to finish by developing and writing persuasive messages, based on information from RFPs, and meetings with client service professionals, subject matter experts, budgeting and information designers.
- Serve as the central point of contact and lead/co-lead for assigned proposals while simultaneously managing multiple proposals and other deliverables
- Draft, develop, and refine strong first drafts of customized proposals for qualitative and quantitative pharmaceutical market research projects.
- Write, edit and format persuasive proposal content and executive summaries tailored to client priorities
- Ensure proposals comply with client requirements, meet branding standards and pass quality reviews
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for select opportunities from proposal kickoff through delivery and debrief meetings
- Coordinate prep for and participate in client intake calls to ensure capture of detailed client requirements, needed to drive drafting of proposal story flow.
- Coordinate activities for collaboration among, BD teams, subject matter experts, and budgeters to shape, finalize, and tailor proposals for maximum impact.
- Leverage AI to drive efficiencies in proposal effort
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality proposals
- Lead development of finalist presentations by helping client service professionals develop talking points and proposal presentation decks. Effectively lead and coach internal dry runs
Content Management
- Build, organize, and maintain a centralized proposal library, including reusable templates, boilerplates, and content modules.
- Working with the style guide and template provided by the marketing team to develop and update standardized slides, expand layout templates, and supporting materials to streamline proposal development and ensure brand consistency.
- Maintain and enhance the company’s capabilities deck and presentations for BD activities and client meetings.
- Develop, curate, and regularly update case studies and bios that showcase the company’s expertise and successful project outcomes.
- Build and maintain industry experience decks to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
Marketing Support
- Help write and review social media marketing posts
- Develop marketing content by packaging case studies and white paper articles for marketing purposes
- Provide input on marketing strategy and direction to feed into overall marketing plan
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with BD, research, and client services teams to ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and delivered on time.
- Gather feedback and continually improve proposal content, templates, and the overall proposal process.
Other Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior staff / account leads to understand their account priorities, gaps, and ways to elevate the client experience through exceptional industry consultancy.
- Follow industry trends – therapeutic, technology, etc. – to understand business issues emerging in the healthcare field and how Adelphi can help address these issues.
- Attend quarterly earnings calls for Core Accounts and key pharma conferences (JP Morgan, ASCO, ESMO, ASH) summarize relevant findings back to the account team.
- Liaise with project teams when researching therapy area background at the start of a project.
- Potential to expand services and build a team over time
What you need to do the job:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
- 3 - 5+ years of experience in proposal writing, business development support, or a similar role within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare market research industry.
- Demonstrated experience writing both qualitative and quantitative market research proposals.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, market research methodologies, and client needs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft clear, persuasive, and strategic narratives.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with proposal management software is a plus.
- Team player with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
