Senior Process Scientist
Omniply is looking for a senior process scientist to join the R&D team and work on new materials for delamination of thin films used for fabricating the next generation of flexible organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in material science/electrical engineering/physics and experience in thin film coatings of inorganic materials and thin film device fabrication.
Desired Skills:
Industry experience in fabrication of thin film devices such as TFTs or CMOS circuits, with a thorough understanding of the effect of process conditions on the deposition of adhesion of inorganic thin film multilayer structures.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate thin film properties
- Develop process recipe for fabrication and characterization of thin film devices and circuits
- Perform failure analysis to improve development methods
- Deliver on project communication and actively pursue contingency plans
- Effectively communicate the results to the Omniply technical staff
- Document the results in comprehensive technical reports
- Create and secure intellectual property for Omniply
Qualifications:
- Masters or Ph.D in material science, electrical engineering, engineering physics or related field
- 5-10 years of industry experience thin film semiconductors for coatings/devices
- Extensive knowledge and experience in developing process recipes for thin films and devices including hands-on experience with lithography tools
- Strong expertise with coating process development using vacuum deposition systems
- Familiarity with software tools for thin film device design
- Ability to write technical documents
- Self-motivated and creative/innovation
- Data-driven with strong documentation and reporting skills
- Good analytical/modeling skills, ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills
