Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team. This role will be responsible for creating high-quality and user-friendly documentation that supports our platform features, processes, APIs, and user guides that helps our clients and internal teams understand and use our products and services effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of technology, process definition, excellent writing skills, and experience with documentation tools and content management systems. This role will be hybrid, onsite 2 days/week out of our Conshohocken, PA office location.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and update product documentation, including user guides, product overviews, API documentation, knowledge base articles, FAQs, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Managers, Technology partners, and business support teams to ensure our product content is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Create and manage content for developer portals, help centers, and onboarding materials.
- Translate complex fintech and regulatory concepts (KYC, sanctions, real-time payments) into easy-to-understand content for various audiences.
- Incorporate visuals like diagrams, charts, and illustrations to enhance understanding.
- Maintain version control and ensure consistency across all documentation.
- Participate in documentation planning, review cycles, and content strategy development.
- Ensure all content aligns with industry standards, branding, style guidelines, and best practices in technical communication.
- Organize content in a structured, scalable, and searchable format.
- Continuously improve documentation processes, workflows, and information architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as a technical writer or in a similar role, preferably in the payments or fintech industry.
- Proficiency with documentation and knowledge management tools such as Confluence, Microsoft Office, Miro, or similar.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, research, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience working in an agile development environment and release management.
- Ability to manage both strategic planning and tactical execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum environments.
The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $85,000-$95,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of proven experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
