Marketing Operations Specialist

Position Summary: 
The Marketing Operations Specialist will manage the day-to-day operations of our Marketing Automation platform (Marketo) and the integrations that connect it to other applications in our technology ecosystem. You will work closely with the Demand Generation team to help strategize and execute the technical aspects of successful marketing programs, including email campaigns, nurture campaigns, webinars, and events. Your expertise in Marketo administration and integrations will drive engagement with our customers and prospects. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Function as Marketo admin, implementing marketing automation campaigns with a focus on building the marketing database and maintaining data integrity. 
  • Optimize segmentation, automation processes, and lead lifecycle in Marketo to increase engagement. 
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights for informed business decisions. 
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive global and regional nurture campaigns. 
  • Evangelize Marketo best practices, providing documentation, guidance, training, and enablement. 
  • Continually create, manage, and optimize platform performance, including users, roles, workspaces, programs, smart campaigns, and more. 
  • Manage integrations with CRM, event management, webinar, ad tech, and other tools in the technology stack. 
  • Ensure successful configuration, implementation, and maintenance of all marketing programs within the platform. 
  • Maintain and continuously improve data hygiene practices. 
  • Assist with report creation and analysis as needed. 

 

Skills and Experience Needed: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Systems Administration, or related field 
  • 4-6 years of working in marketing, specifically in marketing automation for global audience, operations/data and/or equivalent agency/consultancy experience; B2B SaaS preferred 
  • 3-5 years working as a Marketo Administrator required, current or recent certification preferred.  
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Salesforce and Excel. 
  • Experience collaborating with Salesforce admins, IT teams, sales ops, and other non-marketing stakeholders. 
  • Experience in and deep understanding of data workflows, architecture, field syncs, campaign hierarchy, reporting and lead management. 
  • A working knowledge of data retention practices and privacy/protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA a plus.
