Position Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead a high-performing team building and scaling our industry leading SaaS platform. In this role, you will own the execution of key initiatives on our strategic roadmap, including our AI Suite, ensuring we ship high-quality, enterprise software solutions. 

This is a hands-on leadership position that blends technical depth with people management, requiring someone who can mentor engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, and make sound architectural decisions while deliberately embracing AI tooling across the entire software development lifecycle. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the team fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence 
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations to support individual growth and retention 
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top engineering talent to scale the team in alignment with business needs 
  • Establish and maintain team processes that balance autonomy with accountability 
  • Help grow and maintain an inclusive software engineering culture 

Technical Strategy & Delivery 

  • Own execution of strategic roadmap initiatives, with focus on sustainable quality and velocity improvements 
  • Oversee architecture and design decisions for .NET backend services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability 
  • Partner with Product Management to prioritize features, manage technical debt, and deliver against established objectives 
  • Maintain engineering KPIs including DORA Core 4 and Developer Experience Index 
  • Lead the adoption and usage of AI development tools across the SDLC, building on our current use of Claude Code Enterprise and PlayerZero 
  • Stay current with emerging AI/ML development practices and assess their applicability to our platform 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  

  • Partner with Platform, Architecture, Product, Design, QA to ensure seamless delivery of strategic roadmap solutions 
  • Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, progress, and risks to stakeholders at all levels ensuring focus on and predictable delivery of strategic objectives 

 

Skills and Experience Needed: 

Required 

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in engineering management leading technology teams 
  • Deep expertise in .NET/C# development with hands-on experience building enterprise-grade SaaS applications 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Hub, Azure SQL, and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) 
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js preferred) and full-stack development practices 
  • Proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time with high quality 
  • Strong proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, git workflow, and automated testing strategies 
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, PlayerZero, or similar, and a perspective on their effective integration into engineering workflows 
  • Experience with the testing pyramid and quality platforms (Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools) 
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven design patterns 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences 

 

Preferred 

  • Experience with Redis caching strategies, Azure Data Lake, and large-scale data processing 
  • Background in AI/ML product development or building AI-powered platform features 
  • Familiarity with container orchestration, Kubernetes operations, and infrastructure-as-code 
  • Experience working in B2B SaaS environments with enterprise customers 
  • Track record of building and scaling engineering teams during periods of growth
