Full-Stack Software Engineer

Remote (US)

About the company

Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.

Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.

About the role

Our Web team builds the applications, APIs, and underlying systems behind Ondo’s most important product experiences, giving users access to complex investment products across chains such as Ethereum, Binance, Arbitrum, Solana, Sui, and Aptos. We work across a broad surface area — from onboarding and mint/redeem flows for USDY and OUSG, to tokenized stocks and ETFs through Ondo Global Markets, portfolio experience, and bridge infrastructure.

You’ll join a small, exceptional, and fast-growing team with real responsibility from day one. The scope is wide, the standards are high, and the work matters. This is a true full-stack role: you’ll move fluidly from product surfaces to APIs, backend systems, integrations, and core infrastructure, owning problems end to end and shipping with speed, rigor, and strong technical judgment. This is a role for engineers who want significant ownership and who care intensely about quality, pace, and craft.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship high-quality product experiences across the stack, with particular attention to speed, reliability, usability, and craft.
  • Design and implement clean, maintainable frontend systems and user interfaces in React and TypeScript.
  • Develop APIs, backend services, and integration layers that support product functionality and internal operations.
  • Work closely with Product and Design to turn ambiguity into clear plans, strong technical decisions, and fast execution.
  • Own problems end to end, from idea formation and technical design through implementation, iteration, and long-term maintenance.
  • Exercise strong engineering judgment in architecture, abstractions, tooling, and tradeoffs, with a bias toward simplicity and durability.
  • Use AI-native engineering workflows thoughtfully and effectively to increase velocity, improve quality, and strengthen execution.
  • Stay current on relevant advances in AI tooling, developer workflows, and crypto infrastructure, and apply them where they create real leverage.
  • Contribute to a culture of high standards, ownership, continuous improvement, and strong collaboration.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience shipping high-quality software in production, ideally using Node.js, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • You are exceptionally effective with AI-native engineering workflows. You know the leading coding models, IDE copilots, agent tools, eval harnesses, benchmark patterns, and verification loops, and you use them thoughtfully to produce more and better work than a typical engineer.
  • Exceptional engineering ability and craft. You have strong product instincts, care deeply about quality, and consistently produce clean, durable, well-reasoned systems.
  • A history of operating at a very high level of ownership and intensity. You do not wait around for perfect specs; you push things forward, make good decisions, and close loops.
  • Strong full-stack fundamentals across web applications, APIs, distributed systems, and modern front-end architecture.
  • Strong taste and high standards for performance, reliability, usability, and developer experience.
  • Clear communicator, strong collaborator, and low-ego teammate who raises the level of the people around them.
  • Based in PT, MT, CT, or ET time zones.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated ability.

Nice to haves

  • Genuine interest in crypto and the broader onchain ecosystem, whether through building, investing, experimenting, governance, or participation onchain.

What we offer

  • Competitive compensation including but not limited to salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — We are well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation.
  • Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO).
  • Remote-first team across many countries — You will be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and design practices.
  • A+ colleagues — Our team includes alumni from: Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, Two Sigma, Bridgewater, SpaceX, AWS, Meta, Google, McKinsey, Coinbase, Circle, Uniswap.
  • Best-in-class investors — We are proud to be backed by leading crypto experts and VCs, including Pantera Capital, Founders Fund and Coinbase Ventures.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
