About the Role
The Coffee Value Chain Manager will ensure rigorous management and ambitious growth of an impactful multi origin and multi market green trading business within OAF Global Markets. This role you will develop and manage the green coffee trading team, systems, sales, and brand focusing primarily on and in close collaboration with the OAF Rwanda, Uganda, and Ethiopia. You will report to a Global Markets Director. This role is based in the UK or NL and requires frequent sales travel and regular visits to program countries.
Responsibilities

Lead Coffee Value Chain Development - identify, validate and develop market opportunities into delivered business outcomes.

Build rigorous professional sales ops systems - including QA/ QC, contracting, and producer management.

Team Management - efficient team of sales and sales ops with a performance culture based on OKRs and KPIs.

Sales - lead direct sales to launch new markets and increase sales 30%+

Brand - work with Global Markets directors to develop and bring to life a clear and strategic position for OAF green coffee.

Responsibility and contributions to the Global Markets department outside of the coffee value chain, e.g. country program collaboration and professional development, department data and systems, market insights and pilots.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

5+ years of coffee value chain owner-operator experience including building commercial business from an early stage in a high growth environment.

Proven track record of green coffee sourcing in East Africa (Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia) and sales in multiple markets (US, UK, EU, ME, Asia).

Entrepreneurial appetite and drive: to learn quickly, navigate ambiguity, balance multiple priorities.

Excellent analytical skills: you can use data coupled with sound business judgment to make business decisions.

Excellent interpersonal skills & stakeholder management: and proficient at understanding teams' and leaders' priorities as well as exercising indirect influence to align stakeholders.

Project management & organizational skills.

Experience building and leading global teams.
