About the Role

The Forest landscape district Supervisor will oversee and supervise all field activities related to farmer-facing tasks and act as a liaison between the FLR Implementation lead and the field team. Their primary responsibilities will include administrative and coordination tasks, such as scheduling and organizing farmer training and monitoring farmer payments. You will also improve recurring functions and processes, with some support from their manager.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee forest landscape restoration projects within the Sector, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage project expenses, resources, and personnel to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Coordinate logistics for all field activities within the sector.
  • Be the field team’s main contact.
  • Plan for direct reports growth and provide performance development plans.
  • Co-lead field team trainings on the project’s concept, targets and objectives.
  • Take reasonable care of own occupational health and safety and that of others as obliged by One Acre Fund’s global Health, Safety, and Security Policy and cooperate with One Acre Fund in complying with requirements under any statutory health and safety provisions of relevant Country laws.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in agroforestry or other related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in forest landscape restoration, Forest extension, or a related field experience
  • Knowledge of using digital tools like Kobo toolbox and google for work like google sheet and google doc
  • 2+ years of working with different stakeholders including NGOs and local governments
  • Prioritizing tasks and managing multiple team members.
