About the Role
The Potato Seed Greenhouse Production Coordinator manages the end-to-end operations of the greenhouse to ensure the production of high-quality apical cuttings and mini-tubers each season. You will ensure supply through partnerships with in vitro plantlet providers and seed companies, while driving continuous improvements in greenhouse practices to enhance cost efficiency, reliability, and farmers' planting timelines. you will be reporting to Potato Seed Partnerships and Commercialization Specialist and this is an onsite role.
Responsibilities
Greenhouse Operations and Production Management
- Lead all greenhouses operations to ensure the and production of high-quality apical cuttings and mini-tubers every season
- Manage production planning and scheduling to align with farmers' planting timelines, ensuring a reliable supply of planting material.
- Supervise daily operations and, if required, manage a team of coordinators and supervisors to achieve production goals.
- Manage greenhouse resources, including water, nutrients, and energy, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Implement sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact and promote resource conservation.
- Monitor greenhouse inventory, including seeds, fertilizers, and equipment.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure replenishment of supplies.
Supplier and Partner Relationship Management
- Develop partnerships with in vitro plantlet suppliers, especially RAB and other providers, to ensure a supply of high-quality starting material.
- Manage relationships with seed companies to establish a sustainable and seasonal mini-tuber production pipeline, reducing reliance on external suppliers.
- Represent the greenhouse team in engagements, communicating priorities and progress.
Continuous Improvement and Efficiency
- Promote innovations and improvements in greenhouse systems to enhance cost efficiency, productivity, and supply chain reliability.Identify operational challenges and implement solutions with minimal manager support.
- Contribute to long-term strategy for potato seed production department, balancing quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in agronomy, Horticulture, agriculture or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience with crop production techniques, pest management, and greenhouse technologies.
