Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies over 1.5 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms more productive and resilient. With operations across ten African countries, we make farmers more prosperous by providing easy access to quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, and agricultural training to improve harvests. Our Tanzania program, founded in 2013, serves approximately. 150,000 farmers, providing quality farm supplies through a network of agrodealer shops, and a range of different tree species through local nurseries situated close to farmers. About the Role

You will oversee the delivery of One Acre Fund’s Carbon Credits and Extension program across designated sites while driving impact, financial sustainability and customer service through the sites that you manage. A Carbon Credits Supervisor will manage 6-15 villages.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Carbon Credits Supervisor, you will:

  • Achieve package adoption goals by overseeing the execution of Carbon Credits Package Marketing, Enrollment, and Farmer Pre-qualification surveys
  • Supervise carbon credit officers on quality data collection, provision of extension services, and distribution of carbon credit packages among others.
  • Manage the performance of your team using the department performance management tracker

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Degree or diploma in agriculture, forestry, economics, statistics, data management, community development or any related field
  • Experience managing people/team
  • Basic technological proficiency (you will be issued with OAF tablets)
  • Experienced in data collection with basic knowledge of data analysis, interpretation, and quality control
  • 2+ years of experience working in agriculture, tree, or community development
  • Business proficiency in Kiswahili and basic English
