ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
ONE Data is the policy backbone of the ONE Campaigns work. Our vision is to be the cutting-edge,, go-to resource for data and analysis on the trends shaping the future of humanity—poverty, debt, education, health financing, youth opportunity, and more. The PR Consultant will be the translation engine for that vision: they will distribute ONE Data’s findings to new audiences, convene partners and influencers, and create collaborative, audience-driven moments that both position ONE Data as a leader and surface practical pathways to policy and public impact.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Own a new monthly ONE Data webinar: develop angles, curate guests, brief spokespeople, and run pre/post outreach and mini-campaigns to convert convenings into coverage and partner action.
- Translate ONE Data products into human-centered, media-ready narratives (pitches, explainers, op-eds, speaker briefs, social hooks).
- Help develop and manage syndication partnerships and produce regular partner content (adapted explainers, newsletter pieces, visuals).
- Serve as a helpdesk for journalists and stakeholders navigating ONE Data tools and findings.
- Build and curate a user community and user journey—produce assets (policy content, special insights, briefing notes) that sustain engagement.
- Support broader PR and media outreach to secure coverage for ONE Data analysis.
DELIVERABLES:
- End-to-end delivery of one high-impact webinar per month (angles, guests, briefs, outreach, post-event one-pager).
- Help the partnerships and content leads manage a syndication plan and develop regular partner content pieces.
- Timely responses and briefings for journalist inquiries (helpdesk support).
- Monthly community engagement asset (newsletter or special insight) and user journey updates.
- Monthly activity log and brief impact report showing coverage, partner activations, and message pull-through.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Landscape & audience insight: Deep understanding of the information ecosystem (journalists, newsletters, data journalists, influencers, publishers) and what motivates each audience to cover, share, or act on a story.
- Data → story translation: Proven ability to interrogate data products and shape 1–3 clear, human-centered narratives per webinar (pitches, op-eds, explainers, speaker briefs, social hooks) that non-specialists understand and care about.
- Development & data ecosystem knowledge: Familiarity with development topics (debt, financing, health, youth employment, poverty). An ideal candidate would have a cursory understanding of how data is produced, validated, and used in the sector so they can credibly bridge researchers and audiences.
- Partnership & relationship building: Skilled at activating existing contact lists, growing networks, and converting partners (think-tanks, regional NGOs, independent journalists, other networks) into committed amplifiers and co-hosts.
- Audience-driven positioning: Knows how to tailor messaging and channel strategy to different stakeholders (policymakers, funders, editors, public readers) so each webinar places ONE Data at the center of the conversation.
- Event activation & content packaging: Can design hooks and mini-campaigns around monthly webinars—curating guests, briefing spokespeople, drafting advisories, and coordinating pre/post outreach and media briefings to maximize pickup.
- Execution & project management: Reliable self-starter who can run monthly moments end-to-end while juggling parallel outreach, timelines, asset production, and partner coordination.
- Measurement & iterative learning: Tracks message pull-through, partner commitments, and indicators of narrative shift, and uses learning to refine future webinar angles and outreach.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to manage relationships with senior experts and partners.
- Knowledge of sovereign debt issues and landscape is preferred.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Experience working with international NGOs, multilateral institutions, or policy/advocacy organizations.
- Excellent writing and research skills, with the ability to draft clear and compelling policy documents.
- Outstanding writing and communication skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude.

LOCATION: DC preferred, remote optional.
CONTRACT: Full-time contractor (40 hrs/week), 6-7-month contract, January-June 2026.
