Job Summary 

Our Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintain battery cell formation equipment, ensuring production and quality output. Our Battery Cell Formation Operator will perform a range of tasks related to the assembly, testing and inspection of battery cells. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Follows company safety protocol and process. 
  • Outstanding attendance and punctuality required.   
  • Follows standard work procedure and work instructions required.   
  • Demonstrates flexibility as needed by the business.  
  • Operates complex manufacturing equipment under supervision.  
  • Escalates technical and process issues to the appropriate support groups and leaders.   
  •  Performs a wide array of essential functions across several production and manufacturing lines and work areas, as business needs require. Follow safety guidelines & procedures.  

Qualifications and/or Experience 

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred. 
  • Work safely – previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred. 
  • Be punctual – Attendance is paramount to meeting our output goals.  
  • Must be reliable, team-player, driven, demonstrates respect for safety and an eye for quality. 
  • Perform daily safety checks of equipment and area. 
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. 
  • Production and quality assurance checks and documentation 
  • Perform frequent dimensional and visual quality checks. 
  • Updates production records and test results as needed. 
  • Communicates test results, ideas and problems to area leads or supervisor. 
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times. 
  • Ability to perform repetitious duties while standing for long periods of time. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Must be able to work up to 12- hour shifts. 
  • Required to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as but not limited to, gloves, eye protection, steel toe boots, respirator, hard hat, etc. 
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing or clean room environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noisy conditions. 
  • Operate assigned production equipment in the department. 
  • Assisting in trial runs 
  • Takes responsibility for 5S/Housekeeping stages, waste elimination through workplace organization. 

Work Schedule 

  • Full-time 40 hours and generally scheduled Monday through Friday 8am-5pm EST 
  • Work schedule to be established with supervisor to ensure Company’s client and business needs are met 
  • Flexible work schedule and environment, see company policy if applicable.
